I would like to know which brand granola bars do you buy. Also, what are those that are reasonable in rates and taste good.
If you prepare them home, please share recipes.
Thanks!

The PC and Nature Valley Almond Yogurt granola bars.
I get them on sale. Box of 5 for $1.99 at Loblaws or No Frills.

FibreOne Oats & Chocolate... tastes like a candy bar! (Probably just as bad for you, too... but at least there's some fibre in there!)

Where do you guys buy Kashi Bars?
I shop at Loblaws / No Frills usually and haven't seen them. But then again I don't look for them...
Price?

I always see them at SDM/Metro
Price depends, IIRC, I think a box of 5 costed me 3 bucks the last time I checked (but that was a while ago, and I used a coupon to get the box for free for myself and my gf). But they do go on sale and can be had for much cheaper

Another Kashi fan, I mix between their flavours but my personal favourite will always be dark chocolate cherry.
I pick them up at Loblaws / SuperStore, regular price I believe is 3.99 but they've been on sale for 2.99 recently so I grabbed a few boxes.
For the poster who had trouble finding them at Loblaws/Superstore, check the "health food" / "organic" aisles, they might be hiding out there.

1. Vector chocolate energy bars (even though they might not count as "granola" :D )
2. Kashi cherry

I find most granola bars too sweet. Kashi is good but I get sick of it quickly. I tried almost every granola bars available and haven't found any I like. It's too bad because they are very convenient.
Home made granola bars were the best tasting but they don't last long and they're inconvenient to make. That pretty much ruins the purpose of granola bars.

I think granola bars are unhealthy. Kashi ones suck - they are so dry. I find Nature Valley too sweet. Why not just eat trail mix? It is fresher and there isn't that stupid plastic wrapper to deal with.

Avoid those no name brands at sdm, those are bird seed quality! Buy kashi, or quaker oats brand.

Agreed. I got those once due to the low price.
Never again.

Nature valley apple something and fibre is good!
Kashi peanut butter has protein in it and is as good as most protein bars.
I do not buy Clif bars anymore as they had that issue of recalls because of the salmonella in 2 years of batches and the bars were in Canada and never taken off the shelves here.
I also ended up ill around that time and was eating those bars also.>:(
The life bars are ok, but pretty dry. I do not find them memorable at all.

Clif bars are energy bars, not granola bars. They're made for energy for athletes.
Those mini Life bars at SDM are so ****ing sweet!
I'm finding most granola bars so ridiculously sweet that is hurts my teeth. Sometimes I have them for breakfast too, I hope Kashi is a blander alternative.
Nature valley is good, but their blander "Crunchy" bars is like eating wood sometimes.
