So, I bought 2 jeans when they still had that buy 1 get 50% off deal back in August/September. The cheaper pair of jeans I got half off was originally $50, so I only paid $25 for it. Anyway, I want to exchange this pair of jeans, but I don't know whether I still can or how it'll work since they don't have this deal on anymore, of course.

1. I still have the receipt, but no way on it or the AE website do they list how long you get to return/exchange something. Is it 30 days? 90 days?

2. If I exchange it for another pair of jeans that is listed at $50 (same value as when I bought mine), will I have to pay more? What if I want a pair of jeans that's cheaper by like $10, will they pay me that difference? Or in other words, does the buy 1 get 50% off deal carry over?

3. And what if the value of my pair of jeans dropped to $40 at the store now? How will that affect anything?

All in all, I'm just trying to exchange my jeans for another pair without having to pay more.

Oh yeah, and are the US prices on the AE site 1:1 for in Canadian stores?

Sorry for so many questions.

You can only exchange your item for the exact same pair of jeans. So if the size is wrong just go get the same pair, but a different size.

If you want another pair, they'll treat it like a refund. They'll put that $25 towards the other pair of jeans you are buying.

Well, then wouldn't it be better to just return the pair without a receipt to get the gift card for whatever they are worth now? I don't think the value would have dropped by 50%, right?

On the receipt:
"Returns without a receipt are exchangeable for merchandise or an AE Gift Card in the amount of the current selling price."
