We ended up doing a 14 pumpkin snake across the front lawn this year. It's definitely taking the easy way out vs. the carvings we usually do. We just ended up running out of time and I cleaned them and had them lit and set up within a couple of hrs. In a nutshell, the first pumpkin has a snake face/head carved into it and all the rest just have varying size holes drills into them. I carved the last pumpkin to look like a rattlesnake rattle. I lit them with several strands of different colors of Christmas lights.
