Does anyone know where to buy a very thick and warm peacoat in Toronto?
I looked at some from GAP and I don't think the jacket can protect me from the cold weather during winter. It looks too thin.
Thanks

look around more... i have a super thick peacoat from GAP
it's able to keep me plenty warm at sub zero DRY winters... but it's VERY heavy (compared to my other technical gears anyway)

Sterlingwear. They manufacture peacoats for the US Navy so it's guaranteed warm. That plus personal experience.
Don't listen to their size guides though. If you want a slimmer fit, size down one from your usual suit size.
And try to ship to a friend in the States, 'cause otherwise you'll get raped by UPS for duty and brokerage fees ($60 motha****a)
For perspective: I wear size 34 suit, and I got the jacket in a size 32r. Fits perfect, except armholes are slightly too big for me. That's to be expected though, since I have really really skinny arms.

Pick something with at least a 100% Wool and then the heavier the material, the warmer.
I have a Claiborne that wear in the winter all the time but it is harder to find a 100% now and they will cost more.
