View Full Version : Quizno's has only 1 veggie option for subs (Garbage)

Quizno's is crap. They are offering $5 large subs for only meat options and the veggie sub is $7.49. Are you kidding me? They barely fill the sub and all I am really eating is their day old bread. They also have no veggie options for their $4, $3, or $2 value items. Some locations offer to make veggie, but most refuse.

Eat meat then? Go to Subway instead? Send a letter to Quiznos to compain?
I'm not sure what you are looking for with this thread:confused:.

Wait a minute.
are you saying that a fast food restaurant doesn't offer a nutritional meal, for the low price of $2 - $4?
This is an outrage. Alert the presses!

I really don't think it should be an issue to order one of the subs with meat on them, but just say "don't put the meat on it, I'm vegetarian".

I think it's ridiculous that they don't offer the veggie sub under their $5 promotion... it's the cheapest one to make.

Quizno's isnt really a great option for veggie.
They're lack of toppings selection attests to it.
You arent going to change that, its their business model for now.
Personally all veggie subs seem like a rip to me.

I never have a problem with my veggie subs (which is my staple and of which I eat probably once a month for the past decade). They are always piled high with veggies...much more than with a regular sub.

I would guess fresh vegetables are the most expensive part of the subs.

i use to get veggie subs at my school when the subway first opened.. cuz they were selling the footlong sfor 2.99 for veggie back then (like in 05)... pretty good deal for students back then... but since those days, i havent had a veggie sub..
and btw.. doesnt subway only have one option for a veggie sub as well?

Quiznos for the most part is lousy and very overpriced for the food you ares getting. The only sandwich that I will consider eating from them is the classic italian. You'd think for the prices they charge you would qt least have your choice of toppings like Subway.

I think they have the veggie and veggie max. The max is some type of veggie pattie.

lol. I think Quiznos blows Subway out of the water. I'll take Quiznos any day over Subway and their so-called "sandwich artists".

oh ok.. must be new within the last 3 years or so.. had no idea...
i dont mind subway.. i usually get it over quiznos because of the extra toppings and things like that...and a subway close to me has on going i think 17.99 for 3 footlongs any sub.. so usually get that with the family so we can each have whatever sub we want for $6 each

The thing about being a vegetarian is that you can't have too much expectations. I remember when I was a vegetarian, it was hard to find good tasting food with good nutritional value. And being a guy, I had to avoid soy products as much as possible. It was so hard that eventually, I just don't care about my health anymore and eat whatever vegetarian food is available. Soon after, my doctor said I was malnourished and referred me to a nutritionist who put me on vitamin and creatine supplements.
Not a vegetarian anymore for health reasons but I still vividly remember how hard it was to find good tasting food with good nutritional value.

Then stop going to Quizno's. Go to McDonalds and get the filet o' fish.

Yeah I realised this ages ago when I went with a vegetarian friend (I wouldn't have realised otherwise, lol). Senses no make. Because the "veggie sub" was more expensive on the menu he even tried to order a meat sub and get no meat on it but they wouldn't do that  What a scam.
Add this nonsense to their well-known coupon scam and you quickly start thinking someone should shut down their scam operation and send them back to wherever they came from.
Just start boycotting them and tell of their scam op whenever/whenever you can. That's what I've been doing the last few years. Those Quizblows SOBs will burn in hell.

being a veggie is the smartest thing i think i've done with my life (you could say i haven't done many smart things in my life, but after being a veggie, i've never looked back).
and heck, i used to eat A LOT of meat and seafood...
same reason why you likely wouldn't eat pet dogs and pet fish
likewise, if you've been to a slaughterhouse you'd probably never eat meat again out of compassion for the animals

Obviously, you've never heard the screams of a tomato.
You clearly don't know me very well if you think seeing a slaughterhouse is going to stop me from eating meat.

Someone published a study that showed eating tofu leads to higher levels of estrogen in men, so some guys use that as an excuse to avoid eating tofu always. It really makes no sense since you'd have to eat a container of it with every meal to get enough estrogen to affect you, but some guys use it as an excuse all the same.
Tofu is delicious, gynomastia or otherwise.

Then don't buy meat that comes from a slaughterhouse. Take a short drive into the country and you'll find oodles of farms, ranches, and hutterite colonies that will sell naturally raised animals.
And friend, we are doing most of these animals a favor by putting them out of their misery. That "you wouldn't eat your dog" story is bull.

so it'd be cool if some dude just came around and killed you cuz you were just living a peaceful life and he wanted to "put you out of your misery"
animals have brains too, they too feel emotions and some (like pigs and cows) actually start crying when you're about to kill them
but you WOULD eat your own dog is what you're saying? >:(

Quiznos used to have a very tasty Double Cheese Melt as well but they got rid of it. I don't get the rationale, since they still have all the ingrediants. I worked at one in college and I'd still make it for people if they asked, but I wouldn't be surprised if most locations won't.

Just had quizno's for lunch again.
I think quizno's has the best subs out of subway and mr.sub. The prices are also pretty good compared to those two as well. a small peppercorn beef sub combo is like 7.xx after tax. fills me up

I read the thread and I thought to myself "how many different types of veggie subs can there be?"
Meat subs are largely differentiated by the type of meat you put on but to me a veggie sub is a combination of all the veggies and some sauce. How many options are even possibly available?

I'm not at all saying I would eat my own dog. I'm not that heartless, because my dog lives a good life.
However, have you ever taken the time to actually look at a herd of cattle as you drove by them in a bitter January blizzard? Do you think they are enjoy that kind of life?

My main complaint is that they don't have the veggie large sub on their $5 value menu, even though veggie is the cheapest compared to meat alternatives. But also have no veggie options for Sammies, Torpedoes, or Bullets.

I have done work in a slaughtherhouse, did not stop me. Nor any of the other employee's who have been in one at my work. I must admit the smell did not make me want to eat anything for a bit but thats it.

I thought Dog meat is now illegal in Korea. Not that I had a problem with eating Dog, in some countries they had to eat dog as an emergency food supply. Some cultures have different beliefs on dog meat, it may not be in our culture to eat the dog meat but in others it is...just like we eat Chicken. Who are we to judge theirs (not directed at Angekfire)? (I'm a Canadian, if it matters).

Yeah, I do not get that either. They lose the Veggie customers by doing this, but also if a group of people is going to get subs, the Vegetarian is going to suggest another place because of this. I do not think it is that great for business either.

The difference is that we are self-aware, nothing else on this planet is. You're feeling compassion for animals that have no idea that they're even alive. IMO that life is worthless, but everyone is entitled to their own.
