Is anyone familiar with Mountainview Homes in the Niagara Region?

What is the reputation of this builder amongst people who have purchased from them?

Do they have a good record for quality and customer service?

We have been looking at this builder and have found they have a good reputation with both Tarion and the BBB, but that doesn't always mean alot.
Other than those two sources, we've found nothing negative or positive about them.

We have a home built by them in the Woodview site in Grimsby. Totally satisfied. The few problems we had were remedied very quickly. All our neighbours are satisfied as well. We have been in for 8 months.

That is where we are looking. The homes look very well put together and we've noticed that there's never any of them up for sale. That alone is a good sign of a quality builder.

Just about every subdivision built in Niagara in the last 15-20 or so years was built by Mountainview. They were the only real player in Niagara till the last few years when some of the GTA builders started moving down here thanks to very large tracks of land available. My own 20 yr old home is a Mountainview.

Great to deal with, make sure you get everything you want in writing if it's not in the contract. Our house was the only one that got pargued on the street as per the contract. I guess the standard features changed in our area and nobody noticed.

Don't forget to hand in your list of deficencies after the build and keep ontop of your slowed timeframe. Most need to be cpleted within 2 years. Good luck and enjoy your new house
