I may be wrong but I thought the condition of the coupon was simply buying two items. If you went and bought only one BT headset at 8 bucks and then threw in a cable from the site for another buck or so..that would bring you down to about 4-5 bucks total...

It ship from USPS, so the handle fee isn't as much as UPS (which is a scam)
If you are getting two like OP said, it is less then $20 and it is duty free.

it says if the VALUE is less then $20 canadian... in this case the value is more then $20 canadian for the bt headsets. in this case do they still charge you duty?

Based on several reviews, obviously no noise cancelling and the comfort and fit of the premium ones but you can't really complain for the price.
Buy these to comply with law, occasional use, as a spare... not for wearing long periods, for business, or for a variety of surrounding conditions.

You can change your paypal options so that you are charged the foreign currency to your credit card directly. Your card issuer handles the foreign exchange rather than paypal, which I find to be a bit cheaper.

In my last several transactions, all of which I only have shipped through USPS, only one was ever tagged and duties/pst/gst levied. All the others showed up in my mail with no requirement to pay anything. This is because USPS s a straight carry over to Canada Post.

The other companies (UPS/FEDEX) are private, nongovernment agencies which are forced to tag each and every item because of contract. On top of that, UPS and Fedex charge you a 30% service fee.

lmao, I don't think same day shipping really works on the weekends. It's just a gimmick for them to pocket more money.

For anyone to expect their order to be received, accepted, packaged, picked up, transported by USPS to Canada Customs, accepted by customs, to Canada Post central facility, to the local post office and then delivered on a weekend in less than 48 hours....they really need to sit back and breath for a bit.

The retailer says straight up that they take the contents out of the original packaging and ship to save. This means they send it by lettermail....with a value of 0 and also that your tracking number will never help as it is not scanned. In fact, because it is lettermail international means that it won't be scanned. The bulk container will be. It is just regular mail from the US and this saves you any duties or taxes.

So....expect it anywhere from a few weeks to a month.

I don't mean to be blunt but....well....just be happy that you got in on the item and the site at such a great price. I am.

EDIT: Also with respect to the insurance...its unnecessary. The responsibility of the seller is to ensure you receive it which is when the transaction is complete. They won't chance loss of business over a simple 5 buck sale...they will simply send out another. I never understand why, especially on Paypal/Ebay and with Paypal, people fall for the insurance pitch. If you paid paypal and your item isn't received, they simply do a reverse on the company. If the company screws around, they simply shut them down for any further Paypal/Ebay transactions which....is way more of a loss than your 5 bucks.

I don't think it's a price error. I have seen this price $8 last week, but didn't order it due to so many negative reviews out on the internet (I am buying this for my dad and don't want to hear any complaint from him..). These guys have done the same thing for Plantronics Discovery 665 posted earlier in this forum. After so many orders, they simple jacked up the price ....:evil:

Apparently they have been raising prices lately. I ordered the Plantronics one instead. A little more money, but apparently much better sound and ergonomics. I did some reading, and apparently the Plantronics used to be $13.50 a short while ago, and then the price was raised.

For those trying to order off the site and having issues, I FINALLY figured out what the issue was. I use a HOSTS file to block ads (so that it block in all browsers without having to install plugins). Anyhow, it looks like the hosts file was interfering with the site. I disabled the file, and everything worked just fine.

Thanks to the OP for posting this, as I've been looking for a cheaper headset for a bit. Oh, and those expecting immediate delivery of their product, the $2 extra means that they will throw the item into the mail the SAME DAY, not that it'll get to your door faster. USPS can take anywhere from 1 week to 1 month to get to your door. And before you blame the Americans, blame the border and Can Post. If you've ever tracked a USPS shipment (one that had tracking), it gets to the border very quickly, but then Canada Customs takes their time as well as Canada Post.

In general, I've gotten things in about 1-2 weeks. I played it safe and kept my order under $20 to avoid the duty. For what I wanted, the total was $20.50 and I didn't want to have to pay an extra $9 due to the extra $0.50. (Can Post charges $8.xx for brokerage fee, plus the duty...if you think this is crazy, try and find out what UPS charges you...)

Just have patience...your order will eventually arrive. If you wanted faster delivery, you should have chosen the more expensive option.

(and for those who don't know what USPS is: United States Postal Service...nothing to do with UPS)

BTW, how's the sound quality?

The sound quality isn't bad, but isn't stellar either.
Was testing it yesterday with a friend, they said they can hear me fine, I generally here them fine too.

The range appears to be a little short, as you can sometimes hear break offs in the middle of conversation if you stray too far away.

Only frustration about this headset is the answering time. If you choose to answer with the headset, it takes about 3-4 seconds for it to "kick in". You hear a beep when the headset is connected and the call is connected as well.

Overall, other side said they hear me okay, I hear them well too. Though when you're talking, it drowns out the sound of the other side, plus the mic is quite sensitive, so sometimes if you accidentally talk at the same time, you might not hear them properly.

For the price, I shouldn't be complaining though.

And btw, those are not scratches or dents on the BT headset, it's the reflection of my camera. Fingerprint magnet!

Should mention the ear piece is a bit big, and will not fit into your ear like the plantronics. However, the earhook works perfectly, and keeps the headset secure and you don't even notice it's there. Does anyone know if the plantronics did or did not come with an earhook?

These BT headsets do NOT have noise cancellation!
Just means that if used in a loud environment, it'll be hard to hear both ways.

Great in a quiet environment, not so great in a loud one.

Got my 2 jabras today (Alberta) for around $12 Thanks, OP! You can tell they might have been knocked around a bit - not as 'new and shiny' as they could be. I don't really care though. They look clean so I don't think they were used. I can't seem to get my Samsung U740 to pair with anything. I have a BT wireless FM transmitter for my car and it will pair up, but then won't work. Same thing for the headset for the phone.

Edited to add: I guess it does work; I thought it would ring through the headset. It rings from my phone but does answer through the headset. I also can't play music through the headset, but no matter I guess.

Did they just send a payment of $13.21 via PayPal? if so, they are smart because they suppose to give you a refund through that transaction not send you a payment so you get back what you paid. What if the currency is high? do you get more? when I get refunds for my eBay purchases I get exactly what I paid.

My experience is the same, they are definitely scratched up, no plastic cover. I actually figured I wouldn't get them so I guess for 12$ I can't complain. Ordered 2 only 1 had the pairing code sticker. I'll charge them and wipe down the ear part with an alcohol swab before using. Ear part does look clean as an FYI

ordered Nov 1, checked in with them Nov 15th and they told me the order was delayed and would ship Nov 19th and gave me a 10% off coupon for my trouble. Emailed again 2 days ago and they told me this morning that it was lost in the mail and do not have more stock, so they gave me a full refund.

Obviously, they never shipped the item in the first place.

mine came and clearly not very clean.. there was a freaking thread stuck through the rubber in the earpiece which shows that the rubber piece had been messed with and the worst part is it didnt come with an ear hook so its kinda useless..
