Sort of, but it's a game demo so there is no limit to the number of times it can be downloaded.

Turns out one of the sharers changed the password on me, but I managed to get it back and the user has since been banned from RFD.

Oh that's bad. Can't you back up your hard drive "with" the games data so you don't have to redownload it again? (I'm asking this since I might upgrade my hard drive as well)

edit: why'd he get ban lol? because of this incident?if you're doing a regular HD swap on the same ps3 you can keep all your game data. However, I was switchin to the ps3 slim and it won't let you keep the game data so you have to add all your gameshare accounts and re-download the games.

That RFDer wasn't banned because he screwed me over. He was banned before I tried to recover the data.

Yeah, neogaf doesn't activate new accounts automatically. They actually have a guy who will activate them himself, but he only does that once every few months. Think it took about three or four months for my account to get activated lol. I registered and then completely forgot about it until I got an email saying it was now activated.

What are people's impressions of it? I can tell that it's going to be a good game, but it feels like a bit of a button masher. You can just stand in the middle of dozens of enemies and hit square over and over again. At one point I did just that, and strung together a 200+ hit combo.

I liked the combat in Batman more (the most comparable that I can think of), where you had to use a bit of timing.

You can tell that they still need to fill in some textures.

So far it seems pretty much the same (but then again how can they really change up the formula?).
The gameplay was almost secondary to the other things I noticed, such as the insane looking backgrounds and the large liberal serving of blood and gore.

i don't mind the lack of camera controls, as long as the camera is always placed well. Sometimes if you get to move the camera around, you miss out on where the developer wants you to head next (looks at Uncharted 2)

Hey just wanted to say thanks again Roconne for the demo and smh at the douche that decided to change the info.

Anyways, this game is just BRUTAL in hd. I'm pretty desensitized to most games, but this one is in a league of its own in terms of making me cringe :cheesygri (
I think only UFC recently comes to mind). Gameplay is GOW and is solid. Graphics are shaping up nicely (though lighting seems a bit off presently). As for QTE, there is a quite a bit of it in there and while I still enjoy it and realize it is a GOW staple, it is starting to feel a bit dated, especially coming after U2 and experiencing all its awesome set pieces. Hopefully this has raised the bar and inspired the devs to create even more extravagant set pieces but that aren't encapsulated in a QTE. Despite that criticism, I can't say I didn't have a great time and still wholly looking forward to its coming release.

Yeah, the problem with this one is it's not completely private. So it's most likely being passed around quite a few sites and there are probably tons of people trying to get in all at the same time. Just be patient though. If you keep getting logged out, just wait a bit and try again later.

not really because people realize that those particular games have more marketing than gameplay behind them.

i played the demo for infamous and thought it was fun but NOT worth 60 bucks. waited..got it used for half that. in the end my hunch was right. lotsa bugs and gameplay issues but a fun storyline even though its not even close a game like GTA 4 in terms of character depth andnevermind the uncharted series.

demos show what games are crap and nullifies marketing investments.

Oh baby, the demo sure is sweet!

My copy from Amazon.ca arrived today. The originals look nice, but the demo is by far the best use of the system's hardware to date.

I'm really looking forward to March and see how much more polished this is gonna be!

Demo's don't have a limit. They can be redeemed only once, but can be downloaded on as many PS3's as you want. Someone who bought the collectors pack should setup another Demo account.

finally redeemed the voucher for the demo yesterday, and wow! great game, can't wait for the full version.

Bought the GOW Collection, amazing games despite being PS2 ports with up-to-date high def. resolutions. Best part is both games are compatible with dualshock 3!

Bought the collection a week ago and finally started playing it. Looks better than I thought. Played ~4 hours of GoWI then tried the GoWIII demo out. It looks awesome and the gameplay is better, but after going from a smooth 60fps to the 30-50fps in GoWIII, it feels sluggish. It's still playable, but hopefully they improve the framerate.

Can't wait for GoWIII!

Curious to as if that ship captain is gonna be back for another round :D was in gow I then gow II didn't make an appearance in gow III demo I don't think. But it sure was a tease when I saw him in gow II
