has anyone tried torchlight demo??

just wondering what your thoughts are on this game guys. i thought it was pretty good.

It's giving me a mini-diablo fix. It is pretty much a rip-off of Diablo and Fate put together. Even the sound effect (like casting a town portal) sound the same as D2. It is also lacking an online component.

Still fun for 20 bucks.

I'm buying the game ... I like this kind of stuff and for $20 I think it is a good deal

They are turning the game into a free MMO in the next 18 months or so ... that should be interesting

I bought it from STEAM after playing the demo

Its basically diablo 2.5 for the year 2009....

Great animations/colours, and its basically the SAME game.. identify scrolls, town portal scrolls, constant loot.

I like the pet feature (had his own inventory) with the ability to run to the town and sell the trash.

If you enjoyed Diablo 2 then you will enjoy this... without a doubt

Just got this today, I'm actually rather impressed.

The graphics are pretty good, it definitely has a bit of nice Diablo features, and it's entertaining.

I'd say it's worth $20 easily -- if it had multiplayer it would be worth a bit more.

wasn't the whole point of Diablo the multiplayer?
The single-player is really boring after a while, you can't do much with the unused loot...

I should check out the demo, it's out on Steam?
