What is the best deal on adjustable dumbells? I live in Oakville so somewhere in that area would be good. I'm looking for the 5-50lb range

Fitness depot has the Powerblock 5.0's for $328+tax.
Fitness source has the Bowflex 552's for $500+tax

I really like the 552's, but not at that price. Is there somewhere else cheaper?

Also, do the Powerblock's work well? If so, then maybe they would be the way to go?

Try kijiji or craigslist if you really want the 552. I found em for 350 brand new a couple of years ago. But it will take time to find since they go quick when listed. If you need the weights asap then go for the power blocks. Ive used em both and they are basically the same thing

I have the Nautilis ones, which are the Bowflex ones. Costco had them like three years ago with the stand for like $400. I don't know if they've improved them or there's a new model, but I'm surprised they are that expensive still.

Thanks, I think I will get the Powerblocks as I do need them right away.

+1 Powerblocks, but when doing P90x you may have to pause the DVD to change weights. Excellent and space-saving item.

Would have to pause it using the Bowflex's 522s? does it take longer to adjust the Powerblocks?

in the first few weeks of getting used to them i just hit the back chapter button instead of pausing.. works better imo since every new move is a chapter. But after a while u wont need to do it since u will will be able to do it without looking

But which one takes longer to adjust, the poweblock's or the Bowflex 522? and is one better than the other?

I'm still looking for Adjustable Weights.

Treadmill Factory has some for $399, the brand is Ultimately Fit (didn't find any info on them googling) and their description is 5-55lb Slide-N-Lock Adjustable Dumbbell.

Here is a picture

Is there a clear winner when it comes to Adjustables?
