I booked for black friday 2 nights 11/27 & 11/28 in manhattan new york for $162 a night. with taxes and fees the total comes up to $394.
The hotel is Marriott and it's a 3.5 star hotel situation in financial district near the world trade center
what are my options?

Nothing. That's one of the downfalls of Priceline, there's absolutely no refunds. You can try calling if you want, but they won't help you out.

From Priceline.com
"All hotel reservations are non-cancelable, non-refundable, non-changeable and non-transferable by you. Once you purchase a reservation, your method of payment will be charged for the amount shown - regardless of whether or not the reservation is used. Credit will not be given for any unused reservations and cannot be used toward any future purchases"
Sry, nothing you can do.

if you purchased trip insurance and became sick, you might have a chance. Otherwise, try calling or emailing but I wouldn't get your hopes up.

I read somewhere online - apparently posted by someone who worked at Priceline - that you can tell them you've had a death in the family, and cannot make your trip. They'll ask you for a name and number to the funeral home. You can just get one from the Yellow Pages, and apparently they never call to confirm. I can't confirm this, but if it were me, I'd definitely give it a try if it would save me $400.

I've always been afraid of something like this happening to me with priceline but fortunately I've never had to cancel a booking.
I'll take it for $50 if you're selling. :D

you need the OP or be the name on the reservation to check in.

Actually, I know someone who added a "guest" to their reservation that was allowed to check-in. But this happened a few years ago. He had to call the hotel directly.
Actually, OP, have you tried calling the hotel directly and explaining your situation? Perhaps they'll let you change dates or transfer the booking to someone else?

YMMV with this one, they did your friend a favor. But the rules clearly state the person on the reservation is required to check in. They can promise you and add a guest to the reservation, but when you get there, different story.

From my experience, the hotel cares very little about who checks in. If I make the reservation under my name, I can call the hotel and let them know someone else will be checking in on my behalf and there's never been a problem. That has been my experience with hotels in Toronto anyway. Can't speak for hotels in other areas.

Most of my USA Priceline stays ask for picture ID upon checkin

I had my friend check-in on my behalf in NYC (won bid @ Club Quarters Rockefeller). I called the hotel and let them know that my friend's flight was arriving before mine.

FAt chance about changing dates.
No incentive for the hotel to do that.If you dont come, there is a chance they can sell the room and make twice the money.
This is priceline.
Substitute(sell it privately) check in may be worth a try
