i recently got mobile browsing feature, not data plan. i got google, yahoo search and facebook icons on the phone, will i get charged if i visit those sites? What about IM? What are the limitations of mobile browsing?
I talked to a rep but i just don't trust those tech support people.

i can browse any site i want (but u can't stream music or video like youtube)
i can also unlimited IM, but i'm on PayGO
the browser sucks though.. it's slow and distorts webpages
and WAP browsing doesn't load full resolution images, it loads ugly recompressed images :(

hmmm i'll try it for a month and see. I don't intend to be a heavy user, just email checking sometimes IM. I doubt i'll use it for anything else.

Contract or the phone was purchased unlocked and used right away?

The only reason I allow her to use Youtube on her phone, is because I read this: http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=1567172
The $7.00 unlimited browsing package is now done
it is availble as the $10.00 package with increased usage:
basically it takes the $7.00 package that lets you:
browse the web, twitter myspace
on top of that you can now officially use:
3RD party apps such as Google maps, Yahoo, GO etc
Streaming video such as YOUTUBE
she might be on Freedom of Speech promotion (3 months unlimited data when you sign 3 year contract)
What...? I'm holding my bill in front of me and I don't see any promo with that name...
I know she has the $15 Value Pack
Includes:
* 1,000 Sent Messages (Text/Email/IM/Picture/Video)
* Unlimited Received Text/Picture/Video Messages
* Unlimited On-Device Mobile Browsing
* Call Display with Name Display
* Enhanced Voicemail
* Mobile Backup

Browser "Internet", then on the Rogers welcome page scroll down and there is a youtube button under "Quick links". This is from what I'm told the "Rogers' Mall" if there are any incurring charges for something they put on their own site with some explicit warning, I'm contesting it before beating an eyelash.

update: youtube works now! i haven't done anything different on my phone, so i'm guessing this is rogers' fault/update
