All right. I'll start.
Why can't Tigerdirect have in-store inventory on the web site?
While shipping times are generally pretty decent, (I'm a corporate customer) there are times when I need something that day (often a personal purchase) and it would be nice to know that one of the stores has it in stock.
(Yes, I know I can pick up the phone but that's not the point.)
This is one thing that is nice about shopping at places like Canadian Tire, Future shop, Best Buy and even Factory Direct. It would be nice if Tigerdirect could do this.

tigerdirect is too cheap for that, our cashiers are so slow, they have to type credit cards manually, other places its just swipe.
all in all its just head offices decision, and the fact that the company is too cheap.

to their defense, that kind of system would cost a bundle to implement. They snoozed and now they will lose.

youd be surprised how much revenue is brought in, yet they never upgrade the stores

some stuff for you all to know:
-everything is refurbished
-items returned that are not seriously screwed up are put back on the shelves the next day for resale
-we don't pm canadacomputers because our manager is racist
-head office doesnt know anything, they had this special, no tax but you can only exchange it for the same item if its not working within 7 days, they blamed all the employees for that even though head office is too stupid to use their heads
-raymond lo steals from everyone, yet management still keeps him since "he brings in the numbers"
thank you, any more questions, just reply

Is Tiger run by white people or something? (Or "mainland chinese" ? )
Who is Raymond Lo?
I bought a cell phone at Tiger and it contained a warranty card from www.pdagiant.com. What's up with that? The phone itself still had the brand new factory plastic attached to it and stuff.

raymond lo is this fat chinese salesperson #120, he stole so many sales from other salespeople and technicians. he got caught by management but they dont care.
the phone you bought is not directly from the manufacturer. we get them from some other place, through a third party, you don't really get any warranty from the manufacturer since we arent' an authorized reseller
manager is white

Can you elaborate on what you mean by "everything is refurbished" ?
Does Tiger just by refurb stock from the manufacturers?
I bought a USB thumb drive there and it was in the original sealed packaging.

are you trying to get fired? or are you just trying to get back at them for firing you?
either way, so the stuff that isn't listed as refurbished is refurbished and the refurbished is still refurbished?

Were you fired or is it some kind of revenge ?
It's not a good idea to share any insider information on open forums.

I hope Tiger Direct sues you for this post. Saying they don't PM Canada Computers because of racism is quite the claim.

Well, whatever OP has to say, long-time RFDers and RFD Staff know TigerDirect has pulled a few fast ones. Selling Canon Cameras as "NEW" but later admitted they were reboxed & grey market when a RFD member brought it to Canon Canada's attention - No Warranty & No Returns.
Selling new rechargeable batteries that clearly were damaged/old, caked with white residue. Tons of MIRs that never fulfilled, and the classic: RFD Only, Sponsored Discount on a Computer Case after MIR. Except: the case wasn't available in-store, the MIR was wrong & expired before the sale, case wasn't available as described.
I can't remember if Derek or Ryan handled that Sponsored Thread (Back in the day, TD would post exclusive deals just like Dell Days), but even he was embarrassed & unhappy with how TigerDirect was yanking our chains. Sure, you can walk to TD and find a sales item but it's worse than Factorydirect...and that's pretty low. It's mostly junk and you wouldn't purchase newly released components there due to poor Pricing/RMA/Refund/Service. I don't care who owns TD or that staff hates purple customers - I just want quality components at competitive prices & hassle-free exchange.

I bought a 8gb centon flash drive from you guys 7 months ago, it is now no longer working. the salesperson who sold it to me, MIHAI said I could return it anytime if there was any problem. HE LIED!!!!! I am forced to go to centon directly and their support page has no contact email and I can never get through to them over the phone!

Same here, it's been years since I've been there. The thing I don't understand is how busy that store is (given the amount of cars in the parking lot)

Definitely, I don't know why people keep shopping there, like tigerdirect is crap! and the service is horrible. when I was there I saw the manager yelling at the CSR, that woman is evil.
tigerdirect is the worse store in existence, they should be closed down and banned from operating ever again.

I bought 2 monitor and 1 LCD TV there. Looks unopened. Everything's fine after 3 years. I can only say the quality of the product is OK, but TD's service, never.
Last time I went to their Markham shop and ask for a external HD on sale. The salesperson pushed me for another one, saying there's no sale at shop: it's only the online deal which cost me shipping...
So, forget TD's sales...may I expand to all sales? They are the SAME. Do research before you buy. Buy what you want. Buy on sale. And if the price is almost the same, choose BB or FS.

Why do I buy from NCIX when I can get the same product at the same price as TigerDirect?

I recently made a purchase at tigerdirect and they threw in a 'free' 1-year warranty. They did charge me the cost of the warranty but discounted my other items to pay for it (even saved me a few bucks at the end). I don't want to look a gift horse in the mouth but I don't see their angle here. Perhaps it is a way to fill quotas on selling warranties? Perhaps if I return the item I cannot return the warranty? Perhaps they are promoting goodwill (just kidding!). Note that if the warranty was not free I would have never bought it. Also I saw other customers get exactly the same 'deal'.

Does the US store (online) only stock refurbished items as well?
