I was reading through my visa contract and it states what a visa card does not cover..
"2. third party liability;
3. personal injury or damage to property, except the rental vehicle itself or its
equipment;"

So in regards to point 3, if i hit a person, then wouldn't that be considered damage to his property which means I pay? Then, when you rent a vehicle and you purchase "their" LDW, does it normally cover damage to property and personal injury?
Any thoughts on this?

I believe LDW only covers damage to their own vehicle. Anything else that`s damaged would be considered third party. And the rental should include third partly coverage since it`s mandatory.

So basically you get the loss damage waiver if you think you`re gonna be the one to damage the rental. And since your credit card provides it, then you don`t need to purchase the one offered by the rental company.
