I was wondering on compiling a set of documents to be taken with me when I shop.
Documents listing the full set of rules from the SCOP
Laws from ones province and all shopper related stuff one would need .
Law documents , Complaint forms,Price match policy all ready to be filled out at time of offense through a store.

I need others inputs on this matter ,If u understand what im trying to get at here

Carrying a folder with u so when a manager refuses certain shopper related issues u have paperwork stating otherwise.

I say this would save u the trip home complaining on forums and then back to the company, While if u had the documents on hand u might just get your product and leave the store that day :)

I understand totally .
I dont really mean all those documents just substantial stuff one would be able to convince a CSR of the rules and laws in ones province with a quick glance over a sheet or two so that SCOP can always be met or price match not all the jibberish I tryed to mean, I was just wondering what sort of papers would be good to have in a booklet like this .

What the devil is SCOP?

At participating retailers you should see this sign on the entrance doors and at the till that reads:

Scanning Code of Practice If the scanned price of a non-price item is higher than the shelf price or any other displayed price, the customer is entitled to receive the first item free, up to a $10 maximum. If a Code of Practice problem cannot be resolved at the store level, please call 1-866-499-4599 to register your complaint.

I don't know if RFD is the appropiate forum for this ... as this is a discussion site for deals not consumer issues.

Having said that something that can help in leveraging for better bargains is certainly not a bad idea. Then again if a store refuses, even a kit like that wouldn't help much, unless the store is breaking the law and there's legal consequences. RFD isn't an governing body unfortunately.

I overly exaggerated the "legal" stand point of this folder sorry
What i meant was a folder full of rfd deals coupons proof of the policys and such .

I would never waste my time personally, but that's just me. I find better stuff to do than to fight with employees/managers over a few dollars. If being stressed out and arguing with employees is your way of saving money, by all means. I would much rather worry about important things in life.

for the love of god this is an all time low for cheapness on RFD.

stop for a second and picture yourself carrying around a binder full of SCOP and price matching policies. do you realize how ridiculous that is?

They'll just glance at your pages and say that you changed the wording or made it up before printing it off. Only if you can convince them to look it up on one of their computers with internet access will some stores believe you.

If I was a store manager and had some understanding of a policy (albeit an incorrect understanding), and some random person walks in with a printout showing something else, I would never believe them. Your best recourse is to get their details (manager/worker's name, etc.) and deal with it with head office, who should have a correct understanding of the policy.
