Green Team Canada (Juniors) Jersey = Fail?

2010 IIHF World Junior Championship

It will be worn in a pre-tournament game and once more during the Championship. Team Canada's reasoning is that it's in "honour" of the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Thoughts?

You should clarify that this is for the World Juniors (and not the Olympics).... I saw the Hockey Canada logo realized something was amiss.

Considering that tournament is being held in Saskatchewan, I have no qualms about it. Thread fail.

Never mentioned it was for the Olympics. You just assumed. Everyone who follows the Canadian Olympic team has seen the jersey design which was released back in August.

Whatever the design, that can change over the years, but I always expect the traditional Canadian red, whether it's the Olympics, World Cup, or the World Jrs. Green is a slightly odd choice.

Not as bad as the Olympic jersey (and they're only being used twice) but I think its kind of weird for a national hockey team to honour a provinces football team...

The Black jerseys still look the best.

The sleeve logo is the "old style" Canada logo usually worn on the shoulder. It is also used as the main logo on the black third jerseys.

as you can see, the designer is a leafs fan and designed it thinking about the Toronto St Pats.

Not bad...a nice change.
