A Bravo!FACT (Foundation to Assist Canadian Talent) Screening of Shorts that screened at TIFF 2009

Royal Cinema - 608 College Street - Toronto – Free Admission
7 p.m. Tuesday, October 27

Join us for a screening of short films from across the country produced with grants awarded by CTV’s Bravo!FACT (Foundation to Assist Canadian Talent). All the shorts screened at the 2009 Toronto International Film Festival. I love these screenings. I always appreciate independant movies or shorts by talented film-makers.

This is especially nice since I missed the screening of these shorts at TIFF this year.

No worries. that's what I'm here for. This will only be Bravo Fact funded shorts, but it should be good nonetheless.

Also, if the last two years are any indication, be sure to check out the live feed of Tropfest from NYC, at First Canadian Place in July.

Went to the event today...but i was 30 minutes late unfortunately due to the streetcars not arriving on time...and backed up. >:(

So i missed a good portion, but at least i got to see the remaining 40 minutes or so which had some hilarious shorts too. I liked the 5 people in a car - short movie..and the Unlocked (bicycle trilogy of shorts). I also like the bargain for the sofa sale short movie. Funny stuff.

They called out the people who made the shorts but only about 6-7 people where present and went on stage to make short (sometime funny) speeches.

The biggest...and nice...surprise was that after the event they offered FREE delicious finger food in the lobby with drinks. So that was a great bonus that was not expected.
