Speaking of creating easy 3D Animations, I found out Muvizu
(@ http://www.muvizu.com/Landing.aspx)
Its a FREE program that is very easy to use even for those who never animated before. You just need to have a creative idea or story and make your own movie with the built-in character models and sets.
The Muvizu tool is using the Unreal 3 Engine which makes it a very versatile tool. Since the Unreal 3 Engine is used for the animated graphics smoothness in a lot of 3D First-Person-Shooter games....like Bioshock!
But this Muvizu is much simpler and looks like the SIMS in that you can create your own animated shorts!
I have not used it myself yet, but you can see samples of animations created by it on the site. :cheesygri
Hope you guys like it! :cheesygri

Hi,
Thanks for flagging up our application! We're fairly pleased with the alpha release of the application and are aiming for a beta by early next year which should extend and improve functionality. Until then, we will be releasing seasonal packs to keep people interested and creative. We've just released a Hallowe'en pack - with spooky props, attachments and new animations. To get this release, head to www.muvizu.com and download it.
Also, take part in our animation competition we're running in conjunction with 3D World magazine. The prizes are a high-spec laptop from Workstation Specialists and two high-end graphics cards. The competition closes on 1 February 2010, so there's plenty of time to perfect your clip, which will be judged by a panel at 3D World magazine.
Thanks again for taking the time to check out our application. We always welcome feedback, bug reporting and just regular chat.

Well, the program is totally FREE...but its not an online program...like Shockwave or Flash.
Basically you download it as a standalone program from the website and then after you create your animations, save them as AVI files and you can share them or upload them directly to Muvizu's site to share them with the world...and maybe win that competition that they mentioned. :)
Good luck! ;)
