I made a stop to Korry's earlier today, and I was really suprised at the service (or lack of..) considering I've spent a good sum of money in the last 2 years (bought 3 suites, a lot of shirts and my dress pants). I know I am not exactly a top customer and provider to his store, but I was expecting a little more better service then to be given the regular treatement you always try to avoid (pushy service on low quality products).

I originally went in to buy some more dress pants (flat-front). The pants I have which I bought 2 years ago have lost their color and shape somewhat, and I figured I would expand my wardrobe and perhaps get something more intune with style.. to only be shown a bunch of very very dull colors and fabric that look like my grandpa would wear. I ended up walking out, really annoyed that I wasted my day.

So anyway.. I figured it's time for a new store. My requirements are the pants have to be 100% wool, with no poly blends please.. They also have to be flat-front.

Are there any comparable stores in Toronto that I can go to? I've been to Tom's, and I also didn't like the service (again.. pushy with subpar quality). I don't mind paying a little bit more, as the pants at Korrys are $200 for 2. So is there is anything comparable in terms of good quality and decent style?

I've bought dress shirts from The Bay (numerous brands, including Nautica and Tommy Hillfiger and their own in-house brand) which I was happy with in general. But if there are also other stores which you guys recommend for getting good quality dress shirts I would appreciate it. Korry's dress shirts were 3 for $200, and again the quality is honestly not as good considering they are $66/each and the fabric isn't any better then those at The Bay.

I know Maxwell was in town earlier last month, but that is obviously too late.. and I really don't want to order thing to only wait 3-4 months. I sometimes shop on impulse and would prefer a store I can go visit once everywhile :)

That's too bad...

I was there yesterday to pick up a few suits. I have never spent money there before and had great service. Very friendly, attentive. Easily spent an hour. At time we had two people looking for items for me. I was brought all price ranges to look at...and colours and style keeping with my age, complexion and environment

Since I am in the process of losing considerable weight, I had no interest in spending more than 1500 yesterday, so two Roberto suits, 3 shirts and 3 ties were fine for right now (and unlike what some think, a person carries the suit, not the other way around). If I get them tailored once, I'll be able to extend them for 6 months and then can buy 2 or 3 nicer suits.

Shirts were actually quite good for 60$....far better than hilfiger, Nautica etc.

Yea it's weird, I was honestly suprised and kinda disapointed that out of all the people, the one individual there would treat me like that (you would be suprised if I told you who.. it isn't the owner though). I even mentioned to him that I was interested in getting into some slim fitting suits that I would like to wear to work, and he was basically like "yea we have suits.." without offering for me to try something on.

Oh well.. :|
