Hi everyone - I'll be a first time parent in less than 3 months, so please excuse my ignorance. My wife and I have been out looking for a crib sheet set, but all the ones we have found come with bumper pads. It's our understanding that bumper pads can do more harm than good these days, so we've decided to not use them. This leads to my question - does anyone know of a store (in Nova Scotia), or an online shop that sells baby sheets without bumper pads?
I realize that we don't have to use the pads if we bought a set with them, but I am assuming that they increase the price of sheets.
Thanks!

Just buy single crib sheets and maybe the crib skirt (purely for looks). I bought the whole set and you're right - never used the comforter or the bumper pads.

Agree - big bulky blankets aren't a great idea either. Just get some fitted sheets and a sleep sack. Some warm sleepers and you are good to go. If you want the crib to look pretty but have to remove everything before you put the baby in then go ahead and buy whatever you like knowing the baby won't use or need it.

I'm pretty sure any department store with a baby section will have single sheets you can purchase. We didn't want to spend $100+ on a pretty crib set either. We just got a couple of fitted sheets at Toys R Us instead and found that worked better with our budget.

You can find fitted crib sheets pretty much everywhere. For example, we are using Kushies fitted crib sheets. They are available at Babies R Us, Sears, and Walmart (and probably many other department/baby specialty stores).
