Scholarships in general

I'm going into 2nd year (engineering) at UW and i was just wondering if there are any scholarships available that don't require pointless essays?

I got an 80+ average in my 2nd term and and am in the top 10 percent of the class.

Wouldnt that alone warrant me some dough:cheesygri

There are awards and scholarships awarded by each faculty in a university. Some you are automatically considered without applying such as Dean's list.

Some of course you have to apply and may have to write an essay as to why you should be considered.

Such upon UW website or call the appropriate department at the university for more details.
