The Vampire's Assistant Review

I was fortunate enough to attend the screening for the movie yesterday. If you guys are on the fence about this one, you can check out my review at:

Looks like a twilight rip-off. Not that I think twilight was anywhere near good enough to warrant being ripped off.

I'm guessing this is a little plug for your blog, which is fine by me. So rather than discuss the movie, I'll give some feedback on your review :) The blog looks good, guessing a Joomla template was used. Think your review itself needs a little more intro about the plot - your first paragraph is a little too brief (reads like the description in a newpaper add for the movie) and needs an little more exploration to help make your critique make sense (i.e. add another paragraph outlining the basic plot, the characters and/or actors, etc.)

I also thought you could either provide more flow between your points, which may in doing so reduce the # of points you have in your critique. Basically right now I think I could interchange any of the order or the points and the review reads the same.

Otherwise good start... hope you don't mind my little critique.

It doesnt look anything like Twilight to me. This looks like a dark comedy a la Jim Carrey Lemony Snickets or Johnny Depp sort of thing...aimed at mostly kids and tweens.
Twilight was esentially Romeo and Juliet with vampires, aimed at teens.

I greatly appreciate the feedback. I don't get many comments and because of that I am note sure how good my reviews are. Usually the odd ones that do leave comments go something like, "you are a complete moron" etc...

I think the best way to do movie reviews is to have them short and concise. Many professional movie reviews give too many details and in turn spoil the movie. Also since most people watch movies as a simple form of entertainment, I would imagine that they wouldn't want to read longer reviews. What do you guys think?
