Now that summer is over and we are getting a lot of rain recently, any suggestions for activities I can do with my 20-month-old son?

We usually go to the library/chapters/music class. I'm thinking of signing up for gym classes at community centres 'coz my son is pretty active, has anyone tried those?

Thanx!

In Ontario check out the Early Years Centre. They have all kinds of different playgroups and activities. Our local YMCA has a different activity each morning for the kids. Swimming is another good one to tire them out.

Malls. Go before the stores open so while your child gets to run around with fewer people as obstacles, you're not as tempted to go into the stores and spend money. If you time it right he will be almost done right when the stores open so that you have time to make your purchases before you go home.

try ontario early year centres (http://www.children.gov.on.ca/htdocs/English/topics/earlychildhood/oeyc/index.aspx) - they have activities, story time and circle time...
OEY locations (http://www.children.gov.on.ca/htdocs/English/topics/earlychildhood/oeyc/locations/index.aspx)

+2 on the Early years centers.
Also check your local parks and rec department/ community centers, they have various inexpensive programs, some free some with a small fee. They are good for a change of pace.
