Does anyone know how political science and economic courses are at YorkU? Or generally? I haven't ever taken these kind of courses before, mostly science and math and english related I have taken. Any general idea would help.

For example, Introduction to Business, Government and Society and Introduction to Economics for Non-Majors.

Thanks!

Not sure what you mean by, how they are.

I only know about political science courses but 1XXX to 2XXX level courses normally have a lecture for 2 hours with a professor (they don't take attendance, obviously you need to go for the material) (100+ people), and then a tutorial for 1 hour with a tutorial leader where you discuss the material (20-25 people).

3XXX & 4XXX are often seminars, 3 hours with a professor in 20-25 person class. 3XXX can sometimes be in the former format.

Intro to econ is pretty easy at york, and for non-majors probably even easier. Economics is actually a pretty decently ranked econ program (in canada) and most have told me that it is actually far harder than at Ryerson and a few other schools but that is just what various tutors have mentioned.
With mostly english and math courses, my guess is poli science (not very hard anyway), and intro to econ will be very easy for you.
