View Full Version : Surveys.RedFlagDeals.com - Paid Canadian Online Surveys, $5 when you sign up

You might have seen this already if you've been following some of the other survey threads but we're proud to announce that we've partnered with United Sample to launch a brand new online surveys community at Surveys.RedFlagDeals.com (http://surveys.redflagdeals.com/registration_step1.php?P=470).
You'll get $5 just for signing up and be compensated for each online survey that you complete. The system will track your earnings and when you hit $25 in earnings you can cash out. There should be at least one survey for you to complete after you sign up, and more in many cases, but it depends on your personal profile. Some other benefits include:
Balances tracked by the system so you'll know exactly where your earnings are
Option to fill out an extended profile after signing up. You'll earn a few more dollars for completing those profile surveys
Percentage estimates as to whether you'd qualify for specific surveys
Automatic notification of new surveys as soon as they're released
$5 sign up bonus
This is a new partnership for us, and we're hopeful that it'll have a steady stream of surveys soon. In the future, you should also see some exclusive surveys that will just go to the Surveys.RedFlagDeals.com (http://surveys.redflagdeals.com/registration_step1.php?P=470) panel but that'll be a while yet as we're just getting started. You can sign up now:
http://surveys.redflagdeals.com/registration_step1.php?P=470
and let me know if there's any questions and I'll try to answer them as best I can.

The annoying thing about this is that if you missed a question or there's an anomaly in your answers, it says "Partially Complete" and you have to go do the whole thing over again basically.

Yep, it's the same company that's behind Survey Head that we're working with United Sample. You would only be able to complete the survey in one spot (and once overall) so when you get the surveys you'll have to choose where. Otherwise, it shouldn't have any other effects.
Right now the available surveys should be the same but over time you'll see Surveys.RedFlagDeals.com surveys that won't be on Survey Head - we just need to build up enough users first :)

That's pretty normal for survey sites that you give a sign up bonus. The surveys we did before you got paid for each survey, but as many people found, it was hard to track when they did the survey, when/if they received payment on time, etc. so this will take care of all of that.
If we can get enough surveys through the system it shouldn't be a problem... we're doing our best. It's certainly going to take some time to ramp up.

Spoke with United Sample to help address some of these issues:
1. If you have a problem, we can forward it to them to they can further troubleshoot it. It's very tricky though, because the surveys themselves are run through 3rd party survey systems, and different systems for different surveys so narrowing it down is going to be a complicated process.
2. If you do encounter a problem, send screenshots and the URL of the survey you're taking where you encounter the error to support@redflagdeals.com with 'survey' in the subject line and we'll forward them on so they can take a look.
3. If you have problems where you're still on a surveys.redflagdeals.com URL, we want to know immediately as well so don't be shy! These ones should be easier to tackle.

If you sign up for the panel you'll see on the dashboard the surveys that are open and also a % chance that you'll qualify based on your profile details. That should help narrow it down. They'll also send you e-mail when new surveys come in that might fit your profile, both should help save you time and weed some of the surveys you wouldn't qualify for.

My internet is working. I have two surveys, one of which I'm guaranteed (92%) to participate in, for $2.11. I click the "Take Survey" link, the link to that survey is removed from my available surveys, and I get a Page Load Error on the link. This is ridiculous.
EDIT: Clicked the second survey, filled in my preliminary information and I immediately get "We apologize for your inconvenience. We are having some technical difficulties. Please check back later."

I can relate...I did a survey on "Florida Travel!" and I wasn't paid for it. :( My response was "invalid". So, I sent an email to support@surveyhelpcenter.com, and this is the response I got...
Thank you for the email but the survey was marked as invalid by the firm reviewing the data. It is not a personal reflection but is related to the system not catching disqualifying factor that they did. As you can see from the other surveys you have taken it is not a common issue but can happen from time to time. If you need anything else please just let us know.

That's why a lot of survey companies award points instead - you're not going to be converting XXXX points to dollars everytime you do them.
I find it interesting that United Sample allows you to cash out per survey (like Survey Lion) whereas RFD needs you to meet a quota. My 2 cents.

Yeah, we're doing more testing and there are certainly some bugs in the profiles. We've been able to complete the profiles but we had to resubmit our answers 1 more time, after the initial pass, we've sent them the info on that.

United Sample is working with us on Surveys.RedFlagDeals.com. It's the same people behind the surveys. The reason we've switched to having a panel is that we were getting a lot of complaints about people not being able to track the status of their surveys and when/whether they did qualify and complete it properly. Now the system does all that for you, you'll get notified about new surveys, etc. as well. The minimum payment threshold also allows them to offer a sign up bonus to help compensate for the threshold.
As we get more and more surveys into the system, we wouldn't have been able to post them all as single-complete style surveys that you're referencing.
I think we've got 1 or 2 screenshots and URLs to our support e-mail address but if you hit more problems, definitely send them through. We want to smooth things out for everyone.

Those payments are for the ad-hoc surveys that we posted that sent you right to the survey, asked you qualifying questions, and if you qualified you got paid the exact amount for the surveys that were completed.
Mentioned earlier, but a couple problems with the process is that you can't track whether you completed the survey and whether you receive payment - there's no account to attach that info to. The number of people who could participate was also much smaller in many of those cases. Plus there were surveys that we couldn't post because they were looking for VERY specific people that you would get with a profile and e-mails that alert you a survey is live.

Never received the sign up bonus. Attempted one survey and it said my log in ID was incorrect when I was already answering the questions at the beginning and I was showing logged in. The second survey I attempted said I already accessed the survey which I did not. I think RFD should sever the relationship with this survey company as they do not seem willing to actually pay out anyone.

Derek, this was a total disappointment. A couple of attractive looking surveys errored out right off the bat, a couple more so-so ones asked dozen of questions before disqualifying me, and nothing has been restored or come up new in the account recently.
I think RFDers expect (much) more, and deserve (at least a little more) from this site than this.

Probably, it happens a lot, on every survey center, you near the end and BAM...its unethical, and really ticks me off. Im all for qualifying for a survey, but they should make sure once you pass the qualifying questions (say one-three pages), anything further guarantees you to have a payout for your time

We're listening and I'm still here, just been buried in work which includes working with United Sample on this.
We're doing our best consider it's not our platform. What I can tell you is that United Sample is working on it but in many cases the surveys themselves are run on third party systems that even they don't have complete control over.
They've told me that they've fixed that Profile issue where you previously couldn't complete it the first time through certain profile due to an error. We tested it on a bunch of profiles and so far, we can confirm the fix. Profiles should totally complete properly now.
I can report that since Surveys.RedFlagDeals.com has launched, there's been over $2800 earned by the members of the site, and that does not include the sign up bonuses.
They should certainly do a better job of squishing bugs and pre-qualifying everyone so that you end up with less surveys that you don't qualify for but this is definitely going to be a process. It's been a bit rough going out of the gate, but we're going in the right direction and there's many more surveys in the system than there were when we launched. I wish there was something I could do to speed up the process myself.

I've yet to successfully load a single survey.
I always get stuck on this page taking forever to load: http://ups.surveyrouter.com/SurveyTrafficUI/STMUI/Page.aspx?bid=99&pgtid=19&cid=2
And then the survey is gone from my account.

I had this message basically ready to go around lunch but decided to do a bit more testing before we put it out there:
For those that do want to sign up and complete some surveys, and I certainly understand if you're waiting for some of the kinks to get ironed out, we've got two here a couple different groups:
Ontario, Female who fit a certain profile, approx 15 min, $2 US payout:
http://u-samp.com/survey_redirect.php?P=470&QGID=MTczNjI=&EX=2&ST=1&L=2&PL=22&MID=
Quebec, French who fit a certain profile, approx. 20 min, $2.50 US payout: - Now full
You'll be asked to sign up to Surveys.RedFlagDeals.com before the survey starts and if you fit the basic profile you'll be sent to the survey directly where there will be a few more screening questions before you do the survey. There's actually not that many spots open so as a word of warning, there is still a high chance you might not qualify even if you fit the basic profile above.
Important Note: that the link above is only for people that are not part of the Surveys.RedFlagDeals.com panel already. If you are part of the panel, then you can look for this survey in your dashboard.

As for the other problems, like always getting stuck on a specific page, I'm sending those through for United Sample to have a look.

I got an email exactly 38 minutes ago inviting me to do a survey, I clicked on the link and got:
We're Sorry.
Unfortunately, the requested survey is now closed.
What's with that? Why am I getting emails for surveys that are already closed?
Then I clicked on the link above in Derek's post and got:
Unfortunately, there are no surveys available for you at this time.
I appreciate that there are a few kinks to work out, and I'm trying not to complain, just thought I'd post this in case the powers that be need to know what's happening on the user's end.

So I finally qualified for one.... After a few questions, it turns out that it's a 90 minute "interactive" session with a moderator. For $1. $1 for 90 minutes. PASS.

One survey I started was also the same survey from ******* which terminated
because the service went down for maintenance when I was half way thru.
Is it valid to do a survey twice for points;
once from the original survey site and again
from the farmed out RFD site?

This survey thread is an epic fail. Qualified for 2 surveys, 1st one froze and wouldnt load the page, 2nd wouldn't load at all.

I've qualified and completed 5 surveys. 4 are still pending payment but I got $3 credit for 1 survey so far. I should have $16 when everything pending is confirmed. So far it's been pretty good for me

This company and their surveys are a joke, I answered nearly 19 questions only to find out I didn't qualify. It's best to stay away from this company, the survey I did complete is still pending for $1.02 since September. I am surely staying away from this pathetic company.

I am officially done with this. I just tried to do a survey. The first question was what things I am interested in and it gave a list below it. I figure this is to see if I qualify, so I decided to check them all except for none of the above. Well apparently there are no surveys available for me.
Derek. You are pissing off your members by allowing this to go one.

Just happened again! Got an email for a survey 33 minutes prior, opened it up and got:
We're Sorry.

I think I'm a pretty patient person, but when you add the problem of how slow the site is today (and yesterday) ,making you have to wait longer than usual to even get to the survey only to get that message twice in a row now, I'm almost ready to give up too, it's pretty frustrating, especially for the buck or two you get for doing the surveys. I'm afraid before you get the kinks ironed out you're going to lose most of your original participants.

Ya the other day I was doing a survey and 5 minutes in, I got the usual "Oh we got enough participants."

Wow. So many complaints here.
Haven't had a single issue yet with this program. In fact i'm only $1 away from my first cash out.
There will be bugs to work out sure and some shady surveys...give them a shot at working on it.

I have just closed my account with the surveys site, Derek. I don't know what kind of kickbacks you get from the survey houses, considering I only had ~$15 worth in there, but I hope you feel it's worth it to piss off your users.
I recommend doing a little more in depth testing before releasing something like this into the wild in the future.

Agreed, was invited to a survey and then about 30% of the way in after about 10-12 questions it tells me the surveys full. They already got a lot of info out of me and then cut you off. Thats total ********. It was the alcohol related survey.

Yeah, same thing happened to me. I was actually excited that it loaded unlike previous surveys.
