Costco - Magna Cart - Folding Dolly, Collapsible Hand Truck for $20.99

Picked this up today discounted down from $25.99 to $20.99 plus taxes ($5.00 automatic coupon deduction at the register). Sorry, don't know when the sale ends.

The fact that it folds and can handle 150lbs is pretty good. 4 other people were putting these in their carts in the 5 mins that I was in the aisle.

It sells for $39.99 at Zellers and as high as $49.99 in the U.S. Fatwallet posts claim that Costco in the States had it discounted with a coupon for $21.99 U.S. Costco.ca does not show the item.

Yes, there was a $4 coupon till October 4th (I think) in the US, picked one up while I was there. It's a good deal at $21 CAD.

It's not a dolly, it's just a hand-trunk.

I think they are just trying to show that the handle extends.

I picked this up at lunch in brampton, tons left. It didn't really feel that sturdy to me the way the upright stand flexes when you step on the bottom and push the handle back a little bit. However, I'm not a good judge of how sturdy things are so maybe its just designed that way and it won't be a problem for the 150lbs its rated to handle.

The only other thing I wish was that the handle protruted out the back a little bit so if you are carrying something tall and flat, like a bookcase or something, it would be easier to hold the handle.

I might strap a big box to it and use it to carry my groceries from the parking garage up to the condo.

This is a deal, BUT please don't buy one of these unless you need to keep it in your trunk or have limited storage space at home.

A normal steel dolly will handle 500lbs with ease and can be used for heavy items like furniture, sand/salt/concrete bags, etc. And yes, it is possible to lift 500lbs onto a dolly yourself, provided your not a shrimp.

This thing is for much lighter duty jobs (carrying a box of groceries to your apartment, large parcels, recycling to the curb, etc).

I have a similar looking dolly that I bought from Costco last year. If that is the same dolly, its awesome. We've moved countless furniture, 100lb floor sanding machine, fertilizer, and last but not least, side loading GE washer and dryer up a flight of stairs.

_IF_ its the same dolly, its really really useful.

Just picked one up. Nice and portable, fairly light.

The bottom tray part seems very strong as well. Perfect for what I need.

Thanks OP!

The craft girl at work had one of these and I used it to move one of those huge cases of water around. It seemed really sturdy. For $20 I will get one for myself. Probably not strong enough to move a water heater

I have one very simliar to this I bought at Costco about 4 years ago. It's not really a dolly (meanign it wont lie down) but a hand cart. Still, it's great and the portablity makes it reallly usefull. I live in a Condo and have used it to move from parking garage to suite: 46 inch TV (boxed), treadmill, boxes of furniture, armchairs, mattress...basically anything that will fit on the base. The fact that it's collapable is great for storing in the small space of our condo (I store it next to the washer/dryer unit). this will come in handy more than you know.

I bought the "similar looking" folding dolly from costco last year also. Although it looks quite similar, I think the one they carried last year was called the SUMO Cart. I think I paid around $35. I seem to recall the Sumo cart was rated higher than 150lbs...because I bought it to move a large vibrating compactor down the street. All in all, it is a great cart! I've used it for moving all kinds of things. Its quite light and being able to fold up makes it easy to hide in the garage or put in the trunk of the car.

If I didn't buy the cart last year, I would definitely pick one of these up for $20.

I was checking out the Magna Cart but found and purchased a leftover Sumolift instead. The design is similar but the Sumo is bigger, heavier and has 130Kg (286lbs) capacity, it was the last one on the floor so it only costed $39.97.

Thanks, OP for bring this up, didn't know something like this was available.

The wheels are kinda small. Thus the capacity of only 150lbs. There are heavier duty ones out there.
