First gen zune I believe?

120GB memory
3.2" colour screen
30,000 songs, 25,000 pictures, 375 hours of video
244 pieces of Gears of War media
Wireless Zune-to-Zune sharing and Wireless Sync

Not first gen. 120 GB was released last Sept (2008) I think.

I think the entire Zune line (except HD, which isn't available in Canada) has been discontinued so there will be a lot of sales coming up.

Regardless, this price isn't that hot. I'm not sure if the Gears of War pack is worth a big premium, but Dell has often had the Zune 120GB with the AV Pack (including wall charger, docking station, and cables) and a leather case for $200. I'd rather have that stuff than the GoW2 pack...

newegg.ca has refurb 8 GB zunes with case and car kit included for $72.49 (I know much smaller memory)

I'm a real Gears of War fan so this is tempting, but really, maybe I should just put a Gears sticker on my iPod and forget about it. Or maybe I'll just skip the sticker and forget about it. :)

My mistake. I don't really know much about the zunes. Oh well, figured I'd post the deal anyways for ppl still interested in it.

if they dropped the price another 20 dollars I'd bite. MyZune 80 is getting full.

SPC discount would be another $20 right? 10%?

I'd pay $150 taxes incl at this point for a Zune 120. Would be handy to store a ton of movies on the go. If there was another Dell sale for the red 120's with the AV pack I'd pick one up.

$120 is my target price point. Don't care about gear of war stuff.

2nd release of the 2nd generation. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zune

Price is not terribly great, but all the 2G models will become harder and harder to find as time passes. Microsoft has confirmed they're discontinuing all the current models in favor of the Zune HD (which is ridiculous, considering that the Canadian release is still in the air). Amazon.ca, Dell.ca, and BB used to be the largest Zune retailers in Canada, but they've dropped the product line entirely and aren't restocking, so I wouldn't hold out for anymore bundle deals from them. Since the HD maxes out at 32GB, if you're a media mogul and need the capacity, I'd pick up a 80/120 GB while you still can.

so is this a hot deal, or is it worth waiting out for a better price?

If you want the GoW package, you should get it now. If it doesn't matter for you maybe wait for a regular.
