Gap: Mystery Coupon 20%, 30%, 40% off or $10,000 shopping spree!

Check your inboxes because this morning I got this brand, spanking new coupon from Gap! This is much like the Banana Republic coupon earlier, it has a barcode on it and you don't know what you are going to get until you go into the checkout at the store. However, I don't think we can check how much this coupon is worth beforehand (like we did with the BR coupon) since this is marked as Canada only and there is currently no Canadian website.

This promotion begins Oct 19 and goes onto Oct 25th. It is good for one time use only and you need the coupon that was emailed to you. During the Promotion Period, take your Coupon print-out into any participating Gap store point of sale during store hours and present your Coupon to a store associate to recognize the value of your Coupon.

Recipients will be awarded one of the following gifts as part of the Coupon:
- 20% off of a purchase of $30 or more;
- 30% off of a purchase of $50 or more;
- 40% off of your purchase;
- or a $10,000 shopping spree awarded in the form of Gap Appreciation Cards.

checked 4 different email addresses, got 4 different coupons. Right bar codes have 190,191,192,190... those have to be the indicator for the discount. If anyone checks theirs out, post your code with corresponding discount plz!

Too bad we cannot enter the bar code (random generated code) to the online shopping cart portion of Gap.com.

From the last mystery promo from BR, you were able to enter the bar code in the promotions field and the system would tell you how much discount you got. i.e.,) $15, $25, etc.

For those who already used the GAP coupon, did the cashier scan the bar code or just entered the numbers (190) into their system?

For the BR mystery code, the cashier actually scanned the random digit bar code.

If they just manually entered the 3-digit code, then maybe you don't need both bars?

They need both. They can tell what % it is from the 19#, but when they use it, they scan the big barcode.

Confirmed, the make your own coupon method is not work. CSR will scan the left barcode and the discount will be taken off. The right barcode is just for the CSR to confirm the discount %.

i'm on the US mailing list and can confirm that the US codes are for $5, $10, 25%, 50%, or $10,000 shopping spree. only thing is i'm not sure the US codes will work in Canada...

I am on the US email list too. I can't see how they would accept that coupon here in Canada since the coupon very clearly states:Bring a printout of this email to a US GAP. Then above the barcode it states again:Good for one time use in US GAP stores only.
I would be curious to know if anyone here has used the US ones. My US one says 182.

I just checked my family members' emails. The barcode on the left is unique, the bar code on the right is generic and used just for confirmation. Thus once used they will not work again so don't get fished into buying any off eBay.
