Just looking for some advice.

I am looking at buying the Panasonic DMC-TS1 and currently it is around $389.99 plus taxes here in Ontario.

I can buy it online from either:

B & H Photo for $323.35 US including shipping
or
Abes of Maine for $323.05 US including shipping

I guess my question is will I have to pay any duty or fees if I buy from the US?

Also if I do buy which one of these stores is better to buy from?

Thanks

There is no duty on cameras/lenses, but you will be charged GST/PST.

B&H Photo will usually ship UPS not-ground (express, expedited, etc), so the brokerage through customs is pretty quick. I bought two (both Panasonic) cameras from them, and they showed up in Winnipeg after leaving New York two days earlier.

I'd choose to buy from B&H too.

Thanks for the advice.

Looks like I will save about $60

Abes of Maine is about $5 cheaper on the silver one but the green or orange ones are the same at either store.

Didn't look at that but for me I dont really care.

I have bought 2 Canons and 1 Panasonic over last several years and never needed the warranty.

Also we live close to the border and go over every other month.
