Sounds pretty good! Did the drive myself this summer (roundtrip) and the coast is pretty nice (though it's not a Hwy 1). Sounds like they had more than a few people do the one-way drive to Halifax this summer.

This is the perfect deal for me. I was planning to go from Halifax to Montreal on the 30th. Saves us renting a car there and 2 plane tickets.

All I need now is to find a one-way deal from Montreal to Halifax for AVIS. ;)
Or a seat in the cargo compartment of AirCanada for $1.

just got off the phone with a customer care representative and he said they only have it in the US going from a few cities near boston to florida and around houston to some other place I didn't get. would have been a really nice deal.

Well, they don't have to pay their employees to do the driving, don't have to pay for the gas, plus they get paid $1 per car.... that's a steal for them! :D
