Canon 40D (1700 actuations)
Canon 28-135mm IS USM Lens
Canon Battery Grip with 2 Battery slots
Extra CANON BP511a Battery
Hoya 67mm UV Filter
All items in MINT condition....used exclusively for pro applications, very well cared for with all original packaging, cables, chargers, manuals etc
what would be a fair asking price of this equipment

$1000 is fair.
I sold a 40D last year for $700, low actuation actuation /w 4 months warranty remaining.
The 28-135IS can be had for $300 used. Battery grip /w extra battery, probably another $120...
Seeing that the 40D is now 2 generations old, I wouldn't pay more than $600 for one.

I'd say that's fair on the lower end.
1700 actuations is peanuts and if it's mint condition, you could get $700-750 for body.
If the grip is BG-E2N, you can get $150 with the batt...($120 if it's NON-N)
But it'll depend on the buyer and/or the audience where you post.
CL and kijiji you can get away with the higher prices, on camera forums, you'll be looking at the lower prices...
