Hey,

NCIX is selling the:

AuzenTech X-PLOSION Cinema 7.1 Sound Card DTS Connect Dolby Digital Live Sound Card PCI 32BIT

http://www.ncix.com/products/?sku=29233&promoid=1146

For 59.99$ after 20$ Mail-In-Rebate. It's not a burning hot deal I'm sure, but it could be decent for those of you who still have those free shipping gift cards laying in your check-out basket, or gift cards you don't know what to spend on. It's a pretty decent sound card (for the price) with good reviews. :D

How would this compare to the Asus Xonar? (particularly the Xonar DX) I'm in the market for a sound card but I don't know much about them. Main use is movies and gaming, movies with headphones.

this looks like a really nice card. I bought a good soundcard a couple years ago (sondigo inferno) and have not regretted it one bit.

The big plus to these cards is the optical output

I'm thinking about picking one up as well. Has anyone had any decent experiences withe AuzenTech MIR's?

I'm also looking at the HT Omega Striker which seems similar.

Beautiful, thanks! I'd like to pull the trigger, but shipping is $10, which is high IMO. Anyone know if there are any shipping deals/promos at the moment (like adding a gift card)?

Yeah, but as long as you order today and get an invoice with today's date on it, it should be okay right?

Yeah, should be OK; ncix is in BC I think, so it's only 1PM over there right now.
