This Tatung one sold by Newegg have a stainless steel pot. I bought one a while ago from Newegg.

I would get the ocz 1600Mhz, less heavy on the rebate, cheaper and a little bit more future proof (yes i know it doesn't exist).

Did you mean VX nano? VX revolution is another mouse without the nano receiver, would be nice if they have vx nano revolution tho.
Well to answer your question, it's a nice mouse for travelling around with your laptop, but you are not getting a deal at this price. We have seen this go for as low as $39.99 before. I always wonder why prices never go down for these old (but good) Logitech stuffs. They seem to discontinue/recall them back rather than selling to customers at a fair price.
