bad bad game for PC.
the game is far better on console due to the fact that EA makes so little profit from the PC platform (they thank piratebay for that1). \
Ever since NHL08 for PC, this game has stunk and sunk like the titanic on the PC platform. You've been warned.

NBA2K10 is by 2Ksports, not EA...

Two things:
1. EA is not 2K
2. NHL is not NBA

False info and wrong info...
#1 Game is NOT made be EA but rather their rival, 2k Sports
#2 The game is the XBOX 360 port!!!! That means its exactly the same on PC as PS3/360 except you probably will find fewer players online. 360 port is a rumor but it seems like many people have confirmed it (not officially confirmed from what i heard). All feature and graphics look the same as far as i can tell from videos.

How did gamers survive before online gaming? ;)
If this is a straight port of the HD console versions then it's a hot deal. If it's gimped in any way then it's probably warm at best (Ghostbusters with no multi, I'm looking at you!)
EA abandoned Madden and NHL for the PC, which is just as well, since NHL 09 for the PC was NHL 03 or so with updated rosters.

Actually this year the PC version has all the features the console versions have. The only negative is that pirates are also able to play online so servers are always flooded and causes errors for others that have actually bought the game.

I bought this and it is an amazing game. The graphics are silky smooth and runs great on Win 7 64.
There are a few bugs (non game breaking variety) that I feel that could be fixed with a patch.

Thanks for the post!
I just bought it from steam online as it seems like a better deal than buying in store from BestBuy. With Canadian dollar almost on par, here is the conversion details through Paypal.
From amount $21.13 CAD
To amount $19.99 USD
Exchange rate: 1 CAD = 0.946048 USD

Just a note, the PC version has a few BS issues that may or not be patched, depending on how much 2K cares about the PC version.
- if you're using a 360 controller, you have no choice but to switch the triggers and the bumper buttons. The triggers are read as 1 axis, so pressing them together makes the game think you're not pressing them at all. This is a problem for isomotion moves and triple-threat moves that require both triggers be pressed. If you're fine in switching them, then it's not big of an issue. (an alternative is to use 3rd party drivers to detect the triggers as non-analog buttons)
- the stupid game doesn't have proper 16:10 support. if you set a 16:10 resolution, ie, 1440 x 900, 1680 x 1050, it will output to that resolution, but the aspect ratio is wrong. It's still outputting at 16:9, causing the image to be vertically stretched. Prepare to see oval balls and Kobe's head looking like an egg.
- Minor audio stuff like shoe squeaks not being heard at all on the court
- Holding B does not cause a pick and roll unlike the 360 version, you'll have to manually pick pick and roll from the menu
- Pressing Y doesn't do a hop step unlike the 360 version, it does a spin move instead, you can't find hopstep to be remapped either
- A couple of bugs on the player mode (the 2K equivalent of be-a-pro mode), where you can't set the quarters other than 5 mins, and can't simulate until you're subbed in.
- major framerate drop when switching player model quality from high to medium. I get 40 fps on high, 100+ fps on medium. There's no graphical difference between the 2 settings. The only difference is that the "cloth physics" is turned on for High, and I guess it's really unoptimized with that kind of performance drop. 2K9's performance was perfect for me, so I don't know what's up with their new physics engine.
Now all these issues are very patchable, but 2K took so long last time to patch the PC version, and the patch didn't address most issues so don't expect much. Too bad the console versions are freaking $69.99 + tax. I say hold off for awhile and see if they patch these issues. With that said, I guess these bugs are expected with the $19.99 price tag, I just wish it wasn't yet another crappy port. Hopefully the console version drops down to about $50 and I'll get that without hesitation over this at its current state.

Yup, same. I had to turn player detail from high to medium as well. I was also testing and this boosts performance alot. Medium looks like the 2k9 player detail level. On high I get 14fps, medium
I get 44 fps @ 1920x1200.
