Please for the love of god put a "next" and a "last" button on the top of the page when viewing a thread. As it is right now, I have to scroll all the way to the bottom, which is a giant PITA. I can't scroll up and jump to the bottom of the page instantly because for some reason there's a huge amount of empty white space at the bottom of every thread I view.

Without these buttons it really does completely ruin the mobile RFD experience. Half the time I don't even bother.

Another vote for that function.

Please for the love of god put a "next" and a "last" button on the top of the page when viewing a thread.

There will be a "Last page" option, but "Next" is less likely. The main problem is screen real estate and to stick all the page navigation above the thread, for most people that is just too much space.

Blackberry users have a keypad ("B" I think) that jumps to the bottom. iPhone users have the option of adding a bookmark which actually jumps to the bottom of the page...

There were temporarily some issues, but everything should be fine now... it was very intermittent.

I'm using the mobile forum instead and generally loving it, but it really needs a "jump to first unread post" option. The mobile forum does indicate unread posts with a Ed highlight along the left edge of the thread, but I can't find any way to get to the first unread post, which is made doubly painstaking because of the fact that the "next" and "last" buttons are on the bottom, as other posters have mentioned.

When you've got a hundred page thread, where several new pages appear between browsings, you are stuck opening page, clicking last (after scrolling to the bottom), then clicking the "back" button several times (each time requiring a scroll to the bottom). I've finally just been resorting to modifying the URL directly to type the page I want (p=xxx).

It sounds really odd and I haven't been able to replicate it. I would suggest clearing your cache and cookies, then go to http://m.redflagdeals.com and click on the forums.

OK, we've got this new "last post" button on the mobile forums, but how is that useful given there was always a "last" button on the bottom of the each page anyway? The two devices I'm familiar with - the BB and iPhone - both have a way to jump to the bottom immediately (you need a bookmarklet on the iphone to do this) - so this doesn't really provide any value.

How about a way to jump to the last unread post - isn't that what you really want to do anyways? The regular forum has it, and you access it directly from the thread listing. If this could be done on the mobile forums, it would make everything less painful. As it is now, the approach is:

1) Find a thread with new posts (the mobile site gives you an indication of this with the red highlight) and open it
2) Wait for the 1st page to load and choose the "last button"
3) Wait for the last page to load, then search around in the posts trying to find where you left off, and it was in a previous page use the "<" button to go back one page, and repeat.

Since mobile should be about reducing the number of pages you need to load, having a button to go right to the correct post, like on the main forums, would be great.

Another option would be a preference to have the default action when you open a thread to be to go to the first unread post, rather than the top of the 1st page (I mean if you've already been reading a thread, do you really want to start at the top of the first page each time?).

Just my two cents!
