Sometimes my baby is waking in the middle of the night with nasal congestion and cries when can't breath through the nose.
Have you used Salinex for babies?

Triaminic makes an infants saline nasal mist - I find the mist works much better than the drops or sprays! You can find it at walmart, zellers and most drug stores.

Have you tried putting a humidifier in the baby's room?

Have you tried putting a humidifier in the baby's room?
I thought humidity would cause nasal congestion.

Have you tried the hydra sense drops? I spray a few drops in about 2-3 times a day before each feed and it works great!

How do I check the humidity level of a room?
Is there a gadget or something?
I'm reading conflicting information regarding humidifiers and dehumidifiers....

we had the same problem.
bought a humidity checking tool from dealextreme
http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.3172 ( there's a few diff models available )
we also bought a humidifier -- it becomes necessary in the winter.
due to preservatives/chemicals in store bought salinex/alternatives, you should get it checked by a doctor before using it. we made our own salinex solution following some instructions online that worked well, ander the advise of a midwife -- 1/2tsp salt with 8oz boiled water, kept in a pre-boiled/sterile container/bottle ( we used a baby bottle ) .. and we'd just put drops or squirt some into the nostrils when necessary.
but most of all, the humidifier is important, as it also settles more of the airborn dust in the room. try to keep it at avg 50 to 60% humidity if the baby always has stuffy nose until it gets better. also try to get a cool mist one, as hot mist may lead to bacteria building up inside the humidifier ( we replaced our hot mist with a cool mist one later )
if the baby sleeps in a crib, try propping up the mattress on the headside with a rolled up towel underneath the crib mattress just slightly ( you have to check up once in a while to make sure the baby hasn't rolled down the recline) , or if you are co-sleeping , prop the baby up with your arm -- this seems to calm them down quicker, and decreases the breathing problem.
