Just wanted to share this info with people who might be interested in purchasing Bugaboo Cameleon

At csnbaby.com, you could purchase Bugaboo Cameleon for $650 - only for dark blue or orange base though.

The tailored fabric set for canvas is $99 and if you are getting fleece fabric set, it's cheaper.

The only problem with this deal is that they won't ship it to Canada and it takes 3-5 weeks before they will ship the item out.

But it's an amazing deal if you don't mind the colour or the fact it's in US.

Bugaboo Cameleon is for baby. It's a baby stroller that usually goes for $1300 in CDN before tax.

For us, we were debating between Bugaboo Frog or Uppababy Vista.

Once we saw this, we wanted to order it since my husband will be in US for business trip but the shipping is taking too long to meet our needs. But I wanted other parents who might be in similar position to take advantage of this deal if they wanted to.

I think what they are getting at is when you are spending upwards of $600 on a baby stoller, you are paying for a status symbol rather that a transportation mode.:razz:

That being said, we paid $$ for our double Chariot and have gotten every penny back from it. Use it constanly all year round as a stroller, jogger, and bike trailer.

by age 2...it's pretty much useless as the toddler is usually running around and/or it's too small already.

so the stroller becomes a coat and grocery cart

I know it's a lot of money.

We still can't believe we are thinking of spending that much money on the stroller. However, we really want lightweight stroller and bugaboo is lightest with all the functions that we would want.

Also, the fact that bugaboo can be resold for $500-600 makes it easier for us to accept the sale price of $650 instead of $1300 in CDN.

Even the fabric is cheaper in US than in here. Also, I don't think you can order without ordering the fabric.

i don't get the whole "it's light so it's worth the $" theory. how far are you carrying your stroller?????? aren't you PUSHING IT? i think the only time i ever lift my stroller is to put it in the back of my minivan. that's IT! so i dont' get paying extra for it being 'light'.
also, there is no cup holder?? or place for the kid to put a snack? i dont' get these 'expensive designs'... that aren't practical at ALL. to each their own i guess, but i'd rather spend the money i saved on my other things!!

If you live in downtown TO without a vehicle, I can understand you would spend extra on a good stroller. $650 is insane. I would rather put the money into their future education.

So what if she wants to spend money on a trailer. How is that different from guys getting a nice car or girls spending $1000 on a stupid brand name purse.

Everyone should be able to spend their money how they like. For the person who mentioned charities, unless you have absolutely no luxuries and only pure basic goods and you forego all entertainment to donate to charities, don't tell other people how to spend their money. Hell even if you do, you still have no right telling people how to spend their money.

I for one have benefited from a lot of deals for things like video games that others think are useless. As I'm looking for baby stuff too, I hope I see more deals, even if I have no intention of buying the top of the line anything. If the deal were $100 would you buy it over the one you did buy? Everyone has a different price that they considered attractive, that's the point of posting. If it's cold, then it's cold, but different people have different perspectives, we don't all have to think like you.

If you have no interest in this product, then why did you read it? Just so you could post how you are so smart for not buying it? I'm so sick of you trolls who scare off posters just so you can feel more smug about yourself.

i think the OP lives in North York, around empress walk...i can tell you 90% (9/10) of the strollers on this side of Yonge street are bugaboos...so that's the reason.

Similar to NYC...if you don't have something mainstream...you look out of place.

Really it's for parents making sure they fit in the community...stroller being light, etc...have very little bearing on why these strollers are purchased. When you go to a mother goose and 9/10 parents are using a bugaboo...well you get the picture.

Actually I don't live in North York. I do work around Empress Walk area but haven't seen anybody with Bugaboo. I see more Peg Perego or Graco than Bugaboo in that area. So I wasn't being influenced by what I see or heard from friends (since none of my friends have kids).

Like I mentioned in previous posts, we went to two stores and asked for stroller that is lightweight, has bassinet, reversible seats, easy to use and good quality stroller. From both stores, we were recommended Bugaboo or Uppababy.

Once we saw the price, like so many people in here we were hesitant because we couldn't believe how expensive it was. My inlaws told me that they will pay for the stroller as a gift but we still didn't want to spend $$ just for the sake of spending money or for status symbol like some people have mentioned.

From the research in this forum, many mentioned that stroller will be cheaper in US and we were leaning towards purchasing Uppababy since it's cheaper with all the features we wanted (yes it's a bit heavier but we couldn't justify spending additional $$ for Bugaboo).

Now, in my research with US website, I came across Bugaboo Cameleon for $650 which was even cheaper than Uppababy in US. So we decided to order Cameleon since my husband will be in US for a business trip. However, CSNBABY.COM cannot deliver the item to his office in time for him to pick it up so we can't take the advantage of the sale.

I've put this post up in parenting hoping that it could help someone who might be in similar situation even though it hasn't helped me. I wanted to return the favour to other members since so many has helped me make decision or help me find good deals.

It never occured to me that I will be critized for even posting. Like sorjue mentioned, this might not be good deal for many but for few people, this could be super helpful because many people do want cameleon for whatever reason.
