I don't think i've seen three handsets for this price during the past half year.

About 15 or so at the Van. Walmart

AFAIR bougth the same 2 handset phone at staples for some $25 ~ $30 last January
Didnot like it, poor reception, ugly, no speaker phone and there were some more issues with it also. Returned it.

same here, bought it for $19 with 2 handsets, didn't return it because i use it as a back up

FWIW, I have the older version of these phones (WM 2 for $20 last anniversary sale) and they have been nothing but good phones. Replaced my panny that had horrible reception, battery problems, charger problems etc. For the price, it easy to justify and cheaper in a lot of ways that replacing the batteries when they go. Vtech hasn't let me down yet.
