lol hate this my top two canidates

samsung q320($999)
http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0926INGFS10126029&catid=20354

or

Dell($1049)
http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0926INGFS10126079&catid=20354

have the samsung for about a week now trying it out, but the dell is on sale now as well, has better graphics, slimmer desighn and a slim power adapter, but way worse battery life(reviews under 3hours, while samsung does atleast 3.5 hours for me), and i think dells slot loading drive is noisier, but also had leb backlight key's and is black which are a plus

so i am stuck in a pickle which one to keep

using my latop for school, have core i7 at home, need somthing reliable, and somthing that will last, maybe quality of samsung vs dell will be a large factor

any opinions?

Go to the store and try out the Dell, see which one you feel is better.

I hope you're not going to buy the laptop from bestbuy.

because . . . ?

If you're going to dump on someone's choice of retailer, you should explain why. Otherwise you're just thread-crapping and not helping anyone, so why even bother posting?

Personally I'd recommend the Samsung. The build quality is much better, and it'll likely last you longer that the Dell. Plus, Dell's CS is atrocious- I wouldn't wish them upon my worst enemy. If the specs matter more to you, then I guess you've already made up your mind.

i went to the store to look at the dell, for some reason upon first look it was too shiny and felt worse in quality, the 15" xps version looked much better then the 13, my other choice i guess is a mac with less memory and smaller hd, maybe its worth it?
