SIG Electronics has the Logitech Harmony One for $199.99 (Cash) or $209.99 (CC):

http://www.sigelectronics.com/SIG/Logitech-Harmony-One-Advanced-Universal-Remote_2

PM with Bestbuy @ 300.99:

http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0926INGFS10099158&catid=21976

OR,

PM with Futureshop @ $304.99:

http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0665000FS10099158&catid=25336

Final price = $18x + TAX. I was lucky as they PM'd the cash price eventhough I used my CC.

I have this remote, and can report NO CONS with it (except the price)

Nice touch screen, I also got it at SIG electronics last year for 199.99.

Will FS or BB even PM with Sig?

Negative on price match. Sig has no return policy which is what they use as justification for not price matching them

Like alot of these types of companies its YMMV. I know my local probably wouldn't, but they obviously did for the OP.

Note that the BB model is -0034 and the SIG model is -0035, I believe an older and hence now slightly cheaper version. Some retaillers have a $10 difference between these models. I can't tell the version of the FS offering.

Tried twice not too long ago at BB. First try failed due to the already mentioned model number difference. No problems on the second try. You just need to be persistent ;).

Personally, I think all threads that are created based on a PM are misleading. If SIG has a price of $199.99 (Cash) or $209.99 (CC), then post that and leave it as that. If people want to try and price match based on that then fine - but don't post prices that aren't being offered. Almost every other "deal" price here is becoming based on either pming, buying from the states, or capitalizing on a price error...

FS in Ajax PM'd Sig's cash price for my Panasonic FS6 camera. The only thing was I had to pay cash to get the PM (seemed like a ridiculous rule, but ok). They didn't give me any sort of argument either.

What is the problem?

You wanted to PM SIG's cash price, therefore you had to pay with cash to get that price.

I don't understand what the big deal is? If you weren't willing to pay with cash then why try and PM a cash price?

The 900 won't do sequences so your better off with the one. Unless the RF is a big deal to you.

I thought the same thing. I just about fell out of my chair at work. I was going to go get in my car and buy every single one they had in stock.

Actually, I didn't mean to put in $180. I meant to put in what I put in (an x).:D Since I gave two prices for the PM, what's the point of putting the exact value for both PMs? Regardless, I got lucky I guess.

I have one and one con, it doesn't work as well as my previous harmony remotes where you are close to your devices and the devices sit far apart from eachother. IR spread seems a bit reduced, leading to more pressing of the help button.

Thanks to this thread, was able to PM for $18, just kidding..

I bought the $10 Icon remote at BBV, that has the USB dongle and it works with my Harmony remote... Beats spending $60 on the same thing Logitech sells.

No, not really, but still provides functionality for a Harmony remote with the PS3.
The Logitech doesn't use up a USB port, but really, instead of using the controller, until they drop the price on them, my $10 dongle, is working nicely for me!

The major issues with those are that it gets assigned in the system as a "controller", and that it cannot power on the PS3 - not so much that it takes up a USB port.

+2, we all get it, stores have this thing called "price matching"

don't bother breaking out the calc and pricing it for us, just tell us the FS/BB/Stooples price, say its a PM opp, and be done with it - but only if its really worth it; i.e. dont go saying "OH AND YOU CAN SAVE $3 IF WAIT IN A LONG LINE AND THEN ***** AND MOAN."

And, while were on the subject, lets try to keep the will they/won't they PM banter to a minimum its always YMMV depending on if the employee gives a crap that day or just wants to go back to sleep.

I just thought about that, after posting, that it doesn't power on, as it is recognized only as a controller.

It can't power on not because it's recognized as a controller, but because it's not bluetooth and the USB ports are not powered during standby. The fact that it's recongized as a controller means that it takes up an annoying controller "slot", I read that some of the USB remote receivers default to controller #1 forcing you to manually override it whenever you want to play a game.

On RFD we post PM prices. Good luck stopping that.

I'm only speculating here but I think that the BB and FS models (34) have French manuals and French writing on the box. I don't think you should stress out too much about it.
