I saw the pharmaprix flyer for sept 26th and noticed that the Saturday only deals included some Stayfree pantyliners for $1.99.
Use this printable coupon from stayfree and get $2.00 off, which gets you the liners for free!

They have this deal for Sunday and Monday for SDMs in the west. I have the previous version of this coupon printed out for $2 off ANY Stayfree product. I went to one SDM location and they refused to take the coupon because it was for more than the price of the item (one penny more) and I pointed out that the coupon includes the taxes, so there was no reason to not take it as the item plus GST comes to $2.09. She said to come back on Monday and take it up with the manager as she was instructed to not take a coupon that is for more than the price of the item. Funny thing is, I used the coupon at another SDM without any problems. How can a retailer refuse to take a coupon based on the price of the item when the coupon places no such restriction?

Stores do not HAVE to take coupons, so they can set any rules they like on what coupons they accept. So its very likely that different SDM locations might have different coupon rules.

If the only thing you purchased was a package of 1.99 liners and you presented the cashier with a $2.00 off coupon the system would not allow it to go through regardless of what the coupon reads. The product you are purchasing must be a greater value than the coupon you are redeeming. If you had other items then it shouldn't have been a problem.
