Been looking for an upright frost free, just sold a 17cu ft manual defrost, it would ruin our food in a week or so. Had to get rid of it, plus it was only ever half full. Too big, waste of energy.
See this deal at sears.ca, seems good for a frost free midsize freezer, theres a $35 off 350$ and a $20 off 200$ coupon in the coupons section. Also a 50$ off 500$ but dunno if that still works.

I hope you told your buyer that the freezer was defective.

Remove the air and you food will be good for months in the freezer. The only downside is the bags aren't cheap. I haven't found a cheap source for them yet.

I've been looking for an upright, too, and was thinking of getting this one.

Costco has a Danby 8.2 cu.ft. for $399, but the thing is so shallow that you can't get a frozen pizza in there - and so what would be the point? :cheesygri

NOPE!, me and the wife gave a BIG high five to the suckers that bought it as soon as they pulled out of the driveway......(sarcasm)
Common man, crawl out from under your rock, Thats what a Manual Defrost Freezer does, it fills with frost, and you MANUALLY defrost it, and the food inside gets freezer burnt

no energy star symbol on the Frigidaire - after a few years it will have cost you more than a higher priced freezer with the lower power consumption
