I picked this up from the Etobicoke Costco for $69.99. Couldn't see it on FS, but Amazon.ca currently has it for $110, normally $160. Is a nice complement for the FS Next Generation set!!
These are the blu-ray discs and contain all 6 original series movies, plus a disc of bonus material.
Here is the Amazon link:

This is the Star Trek Movie Collection on blu-ray? I kinda just guessed from your comment about it complementing the next gen movie collection that just came out today. I assume YMMV most likely for this as not all Costcos have the same BD stock

The next gen movies are $69.99 at Best Buy, $59.99 at Futureshop so there is a PM opportunity for points/an extra buck off.

I'm waiting for the TNG tv series to come out...
Stop waiting.....because it will never happen!
There is two problems:
The CGI would need to be redone completly like TOS. Hence the second problem.....cost, it would need to be done for all 7 seasons, so the cost would be higher then the revenue. No company in the world would risk it. Why did they redo it for TOS ? Well, they had the the support of TV rebrodcasting....Rerun. That wont happen for TNG or any other ST. CBS redone the TOS because there is a bigger fan base for it.
Thou if they did do it....with low cost in mind, they could always rescan the 35mm film, and just upscale the CGI. But then, it would be a very awefull release.

Does anyone know if Wal-mart is selling the Blu-Ray version of Season 2 of the original series for $59.99 again?

I was wondering the same thing. That was a sweet deal for season 1. Even better when BB had it for 49.99 on their website for a few days. Got to price match at Future Shop and get it for 46.99
So far, I've seen it at about $76 and up but have yet to see if Wal-mart has it for cheaper. Will check tonight.

You're forgetting the biggest problem of all: TOS was shot on film which is very easy to upscale, TNG was videotaped, and will be very hard to bring up to HD.

Costco is less desireable I think then BB because you still need a membership to get in. Great for those that do have membership though.

The 2nd season TOS Blu-ray is $69 at Costco - they had a dozen copies left here in Calgary, near Blackfoot and Heritage.

I just went to Wal-mart and season 2 of TOS on BRDVD was 87.83. :(
I'm guessing they are trying to recover the losses from season 1 as they sold it for 59.99.
Looks like Costco is the best price.

Huh, I stand corrected. Here's an interesting bit of writing for anybody who's interested:

In any case it would be a monumentally greater challenge then TOS was. So really, biggest issue is the question of how much time and money paramount wants to invest.

Not much of a price difference after PMing at BB really.. i lucked out and the cashier didn't bother calculating and gave it to me at $55.99 :cheesygri
Haven't opened it yet either but i would expect the PQ to be on par and probably even better than TOS movies.
