Good price, but a heads up for anyone considering. The series was shot to look grainy and under-saturated, and the transition to Blu-Ray is no different. Read the video quality section of this review (http://bluray.highdefdigest.com/2323/battlestargalacticacompleteseries.html) before you buy.
Still better than DVD, and would be awesome to own for fans!

The whole series was shot in HD from the beginning, grain was added in to make it look more authentic.
But yeah, I'm buying it at that price. Even if it goes down another $20 by christmas, I don't care, because I will have finished it by then :P

Not to be skeptical, but something smells rotten about this deal. Unusual wording: "Brand New Blu-Ray Films. Excellent Condition " and the lack of a location make me think it'll be some sort of asian set.
I do realize that amazon offers some sort of guarantee, but I can't see it being worth the hassle.
For those that order, good luck and please let us know how it turns out.

I just sent them an email through Amazon with the following questions. We'll see if they respond.
1. Is this product unopened and never used?
2. Is it damaged in any way (e.g. corners of the box dented, cellophane torn, scratchs, etc)?
3. Is it the Region 1 Canada/US version?

Just a heads up, all the DVD seasons of Battlestar Galactica (except for 4.5) are currently $20 at Walmart. 4.5 is still $35. So you can pick up the whole set (less miniseries) for $135 on DVD.
I can return those unopened DVDs, and $150 for the Blu Ray set is very tempting. But a price that sounds too good to be true and a unknown seller without an established reputation is making me stay away. So I think I'll stick with the safe route.
I tried to do some research on Amazon about this seller and it doesn't look like they ship out of Canada, and shipping could be costly, and there is a risk of duties.
On the plus side, it's quite possible that Amazon will refund your money if there is a dispute with this seller.

I believe this seller is based in Canada as I was only charged around $3.00 for shipping, also estimated shipping arrival is 3-4 days.
I will update the thread when it arrives and let you guys know the condition and all that stuff.

Thanks to those that ordered for the info. I am going to stick with my Wal Mart bought DVD copies due to wanting to watch this now, not wanting to have to return these to the store, and having the ability to play this on my laptop and bedroom (I only own 1 bluray player.) Plus it doesn't sound like the Blu Ray is a huge visual upgrade.
But this is a great price and sounds like it might be a good option for others to go with. I am watching the miniseries this aft, being new to the show and the show is amazing thus far. My previous post was incorrect, the separate Season 1 set does include the miniseries.

This might come back to bite me in the ass, but I pulled the trigger on this deal. It'll be a headache but at least Amazon will provide a safety net in case this guy is pulling a fast one. It's a decent size box, but shipping only came out to $3.49...? Weird. Oh well, let's hope this deal comes through, but for those of us who ordered, we should be prepared for a letdown. I'll post any updates.
edit: Placed my order at roughly 2:00 pm today, and received a confirmation e-mail from Amazon at 2:10. Then 2 hours later at 4:11 pm, received a confirmation shipping e-mail. That was fast. Should be receiving the package sometime this week hopefully. Will keep you all posted.

Amazon's safety net is pretty good, my friend bought some textbooks about a year ago that he never received, and got all of his money back. Took two weeks for them to investigate it, but he got it all back.
Even though you can get all the seasons for $20 each, I'd rather have them in all of their HD glory with the uncompressed sound and excellent bonus features. Since there are 20 BD50 discs, thats almost a terabyte of data (obviously each disc won't be full to the max, and each disc is around 47gb in the true base 2 measurement of a gigabyte)
Plus you get a frakkin' Cylon figurine, how cool is that! :P
Also, just in case anyone is wondering, the discs are region free.

This is mostly correct, but actually Season 4.5 is still $35, all other seasons are $20. The whole series will be $135. They were not marked as being the cheaper price when I bought them, they were all marked as being the normal price of $40 to $45. All Seasons but 4.5 scan in at $20 though.

I will be interested to see how this deal pans out. Bought the blu-ray set myself first day of release via pre-ordering with 10% discount from BB. Never looked back but this makes the deal i got and the one from deepdiscount.com look like crap

Yeah, for some reason I missed that in the OP. Still 20 a season for non blu-ray is still a pretty good value.

Right, and what I'm saying is just to be aware that it was shot to look grainy and undersaturated, in the event anyone is expecting that to be 'improved' upon. But really, I think anyone buying this on Blu-ray is in it for the 1080p space-opera battles.. I know I would be :D

I believe the concept of an angel makes whether or not it is "from space" irrelevant.
But back to the point, I'm all over this if it pans out. Excited for those updates!
EDIT: The link to the $150 package is gone from Amazon, only the two others left...

The seller has just gotten 3 negative ratings over the past few days, due to items not arriving, and lack of responses from the seller...

HahA! This is shaping up to be a real steal of a deal, eh folks? Maybe it's still too soon to say for sure, but the words "too good to be true" seem to be stamped all over this. I'll give it till tomorrow (Friday), and then file a complaint on the Monday. Bleh, what a headache. Next time I pull the trigger on one of these dubious deals, somebody just shoot me. :o

I ordered on September 16 and what supposed to receive between September 22-28. Nothing yet. The seller replied once, appologized saying there was an error with the post office... blah blah blah! I then messaged him several time and nothing... I filed a complaint with Amazon and am considering filing one with the Internet Crime Complaint Center, just to light a fire under his butt.

So, I'm guessing no one ever actually received this set?
Did anyone have any trouble getting a rebate?
