Hey guys,

So my mom is looking to buy a new car, and I need some help.

We're looking at getting an '09 model since most dealers are doing a 0% financing deal and cash back and whatever.

Now what we've been looking at, are cars like the Honda Fit, Kia Rio, Hyundai Accent, etc.

It needs to be 4 doors, A/C, doesn't need power windows/locks, so basically a basic car, for a good price.

Ideas?

I know you're in Nova Scotia, but see if Saturn there would match Toronto dealers, they are offering a 2009 5dr Saturn Astra for $11000

Saturn is now an orphan brand, absorbed into the GM umbrell for the time being. I would stay away from them.
Right now, dollar for dollar, the Hyundai and Kia are just about the best value for the money (and warranty).

I agree, the Kia are your best bet... Take a look at the
Pontiac G5.. Good price, great warrenty.

Get a 2010, otherwise car already a year old. Look at GM, Ford or Chrysler for the best deals right now.
