My sister just bought a 2006 Lexus IS250 AWD and is looking to buy a set of winter rims and tires. She just wants a set of steelies that go with either 16" or 17" tires.
Do OEM steelies exist for the IS250?
Can Camry rims fit on the IS250?
Many thanks for advice.

Do a search for "Simply Tire" in the Automotive Buy/Sell/Trade subforum and Allen will hook you up.

I wouldn't go with any OEM Lexus tire...as they purposely choose ones that are soft/quiet and don't last long.
You will have to buy rims and TPMS sensors. Otherwise the dashboard will be a series of blinking lights and the MFD displaying "low tire pressure" 24/7. Not 100% sure, but I believe the 06 used completely different TPMS sensors than the 07+...so you will have to make sure it is the older type.
You will also have to pay to get those sensor codes put into the computer each time to swap the tires.

There are no steelies for the IS 250. Buy far, the cheapest is to order a tire/rim/TPMS cmbo from tirerack.com. Even with duties and shipping it is cheaper than anything you get in Canada.
I went with Dunlop Wintersport 205/55r16, cheap 16" F7 sport alloys, and tirerack TPMs. E-mail tirerack before submitting the order and tell them clearly you need Lexus compatible TPMs, and you need them to give you the TPMS ID #.
Take the Id number to the dealer and have them program it. Toyota can do it also.
I picked mine up in Plattsburgh and save on shipping.
