So a gentleman contacted me regarding a used car I am selling for $2900, he said he is currently in italy but wants to buy the car as a surprise gift for his wife. We bargained for the price and I told him that if he pays in cash I can take off $100 - $200 dollars off the price. So he agrees and asks for my full contact info and address, before I send him that I ask him how does he intent to pay cash if he is in italy right now, he said he will send it by air transport italy. Seems kinda weird and how can you send cash by transport ? something is making me very nervous about this. Do you think its a scam ?
If I agree to accept payment, what could possibly go wrong ? I guess If I dont receive the payment I just wont give him the car ? but not sure if its dangerous if he has my contact info ?

So scammers are calling people now? That's impressive and annoying at the same time.

I can't believe this question has to be asked over and over again ....

I wish some people would have a bit more common sense ...

If you have to ask if its a scam, chances are, it is! :D

To be fair assuming this is a scam it's much better than most.

Guys from Italy not Nigeria.
He negotiated the price down, usually scammers pay a little extra for your troubles...
The guy called instead of emailing.

If you work in an office building, give him the address there.

Have an Ex girlfriend you want revenge on? lol!

You have 2 options:
1: just stop talking to them
2: mess with the scammer! Maybe give him the address of your local police station?

How is this a scam?

If you give them your contact info, what can they do with it?

Name and Mailing address?

well, after thinking about it and reading the posts here, I decided not to deal with him.

Evil Baby: I told him I only accept cash and he said he will send it via air transport italy

Why are there so many threads that bear the same title? I didn't bother reading the OP even and can tell you the golden rule of asking if something is a scam...

If you're asking if it's a scam it's 99% probable that, yes, it is a scam. I.e. If you have to ask if it's a scam, it probably is. I.e. Yes, it's a scam. LOL.
