We've come across with Good Year Nordic 4 tires manufactured in Aug 2007 with Sacchi Rims for $250 - i think it's a very good price.
Since we are looking for a second vehicle - what would be the suggestions to fit these tires on a used car?

Yeah, buy a car first and then the tires - but we dont want to loose this opportunity of sale due to my husband's co-worker selling these tires now:D

Regards,
Kate

2001 - 2002 Mazda Protege ES and 1997 - 2001 Acura EL are a couple I am aware of. Seems like you are putting the cart before the horse? You'll also need to check the rims whether they are 4 bolt or 5 bolt. The Protege uses 4 bolt, not sure about the Acura.

can I put on, lets say, P195/55R15 instead of P195/65R15 on a corolla?
If not, please explain to me why and what would be the closest tire size i can put on corolla?
Why is it such a big difference?

Take a second and have a read. It'll explain your questions and a lot more you might have after.
Also i would think you should be worried about the rims, not the tires. After all the rims are going in the car, the tires on the rims. If the rims dont fit then..............

They won't work with the Corolla. The speedo will get thrown way off.

To understand the specs of the tire, the 195 is the width of the tread (in mm), the 55 means that the tire sidewall is 55% of that 195mm, and the 15 is the size of rim it'll fit. '03 Mazda Protege LXes have that tire size too, and based on my experiences owning one it's a little difficult finding decent tires cheap. It's not horrible, just harder than more common sizes like 205/55/16.

Depends on which year of corolla. It would fit 93-02 Corolla LE or 98-00 Corolla touring with 185/65R/14 Tires or even 93-05 Civics with only.0.1% of odometer errors..

That's only assuming the bolt pattern matches, which is possible, but I'd say unlikely at this point.
