Immediate member of my family looking to sign up this week and are not very techie, so turned to me for help. They live in a no coverage zone for Videotron/cable.

Seems to be no great sign-up deals right now. Here is the plan I made up for them:

Numérique base (french) 16$/m (no other Bell service, so no bundle discount)
2-theme packs (US Networks + Lifestyle 1) 16$/m + 1$ timeshift
Network fee: 3$/m
=======================
36$ +tx

They already have a receiver and don't need installation (dish already on the property)

Any ideas? Comments?

If it can be avoided and an alternate is available tell them to do so. Have the expressvu at home and the damn thing loves to go down at the first sign lightning. It's a pain, especially when you're in the middle of watching something.
