Looking for a decent laptop with HDMI port that will be used to download movies and then be connected to a bigger screen for playback. Hoping to spend under $1000. Thanks!

Maybe try HP Pavillion entertainment laptops. HPshopping.ca
They have HDMI out. I also like that they come with a remote that fits inside the PC card slot.
